traction control question
do you have to turn trac control off everytime you start the new zx14? wondering if theres a way of turning it off permanently? just think it would get old having to turn off everytime you stop-go? just wondering.

I was hoping for the smae thing, Maybe Guhl can do something in the ecu ??

Hey Guys
If you shut off the bike and you had the traction control off, when you start it again it will start in KTRC 1 and will have to be set again to no KTRC put its no big deal at all just a push of a button and your ready to go.

What about if you had the KTRC 1 set to off, & your air shifter kills all 4 coils???? will that intefere with tthe KTRC 1 coming bk on???

The zx10 is the same way. You have to remember to turn it off prior to doing your burn out and everytime you shut the key off..... I do like the TC, especially when you set it in mode three, cruising and pinning the throttle.... it makes a unique sound......

Might kill the coils but it doesn't turn the key off .. The coil still fires but the power goes to gound and not the plug .. I don't think it will cause any problems..

I don't think it can be turned off; Guhl nor DP Tunes mentioned turning that off as an option.
I think it's too entertwined, even with it turned off, your system still works. On the dyno with the TC turned off, your FI light still flashes. The TC works with the relation of the front and rear wheel speed. When they don't match or have the same signal, it triggers the TC and cuts the power

With my TC turned off for the dyno runs i never got a FI light flashing ....

ok, yeah perhaps they fixed that... my zx10 does, it doesn't affect the performance, it just flashes. What are you doing up this time of night? It's 8:30 in the morning in my location
