Hey Hurricane
I would have to say yes it does, Kawi installed 2 fans on the 14R, When I took her home from the dealer the other night it was kinda chilly so I dont know for sure but best guess is that its gonna be cooler.
As far as the 07's not liking 100 degree weather.....I have first hand knowledge about that....I sent a rod right through the case at 100 mph on a 95 degree day in July of 2010 NOT GOOD....LOL. Thank GOD for Extended Warranties!

No Problem Hurricane
Took the bike out for a blast today in about 38 degree temps here in NYC and the new instrument cluster is really an upgrade from my 07 the bike never got hotter than 180d.
It has a digital temperture gauge now that actually gives you a real number not just bars that you have to guess how hot she is running.
O and I found out today it has a outside temperture thermometer built in so you know what the temperture is when your riding, I always wished my 07 had that and Kawi read my mind and added that feature.
Ride Well

The only cooling upgrades are the new radiator with a larger capacity, dual fans instead of one, and I am not sure if the oil squirters for the bottom of the pistons do anything to help overall engine cooling. But if money were tight or if you are not in the market for a new bike, the new dual fans and the new radiator would probably do a lot to help cool the Gen 1 down.
