What do you think is the best color for 2012?
Hi everyone, new to the forum!
I'm visiting 3 dealerships tomorrow to hopefully purchase a ZX-14R. The only thing I'm completely undecided about is what color. Pretty much it's between the black and the SE green. All the dealerships seem to have the black in stock. The greens all sold the day they got them in stock, so it looks like it's the hot color.
Practically everything I buy is black except for my 2010 Ninja 250R that is also SE green. So I figured I'd naturally dig the SE green on the ZX-14R also. It is after all the "signature" color it seems based on all the advertising.The biggest downside is that I'll have to wait 2-3 weeks before the next SE greens come in. Doesn't really matter since I'm back in the Northeast and won't be able to ride until Spring, but still, the sooner the better.
The reason I'd get black is because like I said, I get practically everything else in black... and I'd probably end up riding it out tomorrow since it's what is available. Also, I think black almost always never gets old. A lot of the SE colors I feel get that "outdated" feeling much quicker.
Aye, what a dilemma. If I had more money I'd buy both.  Well, what's everyone's opinion on this? What's everyone's favorite color for 2012? Between black and SE green which one would you go for?

I don't like the SE green at all..... too candy green for my tastes. Black and blue both look great, but I like the black the best.

I ordered blackas usual ... The blue is looking good though and easier to keep up with . If you don't like the "flames" that come on the green they come right off with a little heat

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the flames myself, looks too hokey. Green is the "signature" color though. If it's anything like the 2010 SE green, I'll love it. One of the dealerships still has one on their showroom floor (although it's already sold), so I'm going to go check it out before the buyer picks it up.
I was leaning towards the green, but now I'm starting to lean towards the black. Its been like this all week, back and forth. But I have to make my decision tomorrow or forever be in limbo and/or pay MSRP when Spring time hits which I definitely don't want to do.
If I do go black, I'll replace the white Ninja decals with red ones... because black and red is apparently adds 4HP and is the fastest color.

1. Green and black for either Europe or Asia markets.
2. Blue
3. Black
4. Green with the...flames. Nix the flames and it would be my #1 choice.

Guy's there is a problem with taking off the flames, You can't take all the flames off the ones that are on gas tank portion are cleared over, so if you take off some of then I think the ones that are left stick out even more. i just decided to leave mine on for now, the green is a little darker and there is a lot more metallic in the paint. Had a lime green 2000 zx12 really like this version even better. just my .02

Really? Wow...
I'm leaning more towards the black more and more now. I was actually thinking of getting red Ninja decals to cover over the white ones that the black ZX-14R comes with.
In terms of resale value, which one do you guys think will be the most desirable? I'm wondering if it's just in the forums everyone prefers the black because the green is what seems to be the color everyone is going after here in the Northeast.

TheDayday welcome to bikeland ... In the past the SE didn't bring any more money , But i feel the green SE just may change that .. It's just a guess on my part ..

Well, finalized everything today. I saw the green SE and the black. As cool as the green SE is, I ended up going with my natural color (black). Should hopefully get it within the next 2 weeks. Thanks for everyone's input!

Red but its not sold in US,theres also a white 1 too.they will most likely come in for 2013.
