Unless I've missed something but why is this bad news?
I'd say it was good news as if it's like the Gen 1 there's even more power in this monster than we thought.

hey man, if you contact Guhl motors he will flash your ECU for free to remove any restrictions they have put on them, he hasent been able to get a hold of a 2012 ECU yet so im sure if you contact him he will hook it up.

Trying to find the wires to hook up the data logger right now, when I was letting the bike warm up to remove the secondaries I looked at the headpipes and they were glowing red.

I was watching the secondaries while revving wot, they open but slow, the 14r is very powerful with them in so it's "not" necessary to remove them , most of you will be happy with the stock acceleration, I just want every bit I can get.

Have you ridden it yet without the flies?.................how noticable a difference is it?...................................cant be anywhere close to pulling the flies in 2006?, that was a HUGE difference!!!

If you're revving hhe bike in nuetral and looking at the secondaries open that probably isn't a valid way to gauge how they work while riding the bike. The ecu must have a map for all the gears and various speed and load conditions that can't be duplicated standing still. But I guess you'll find out how it runs w/o them.

This is a very good thing. Very good!!! Let us know your findings. As he ^ said. Were you in gear at 7k? Or just in neutral? That could def affect whether or not it opens

Maybe strap it to a dyno and crack the throttle wide open with the tank lifted up and access covers removed so you can view how the secondaries operate in each gear...just a thought.

I never like the ideal of someone else, having control over my throttle position! even if they do come in quicker than the older models? for me that's not quick enough, it probably won't show up at short wheelbase but when wee put a swing arm on it and hits the throttle wide open, do you want it to come in now are a couple of tents later. for those of you that drag race, I think you know the answer to that. The real problem right now is , when will power Cmdr offer the new box? it seems like we had this problem when the 08 come out, and brocks use a ZX 10 power Cmdr, does that sound familiar . Thanks Brock. I don't know why PC is so quick to move on the ZX 10. But when it comes to the 14 they don't seem to be in any hurry? maybe Brock's will offer a repen ZX10 like they did for the roaring toys bike so people don't have to wait six months on PC.

took a ride with the secondaries removed, what a beast, spins the tire where it didn't the other day, I only did a couple of roll on's in first gear , I was able to go wide open in first, it's stupid fast, a/f was about 13.2 at wot, cruising it's about 15.5, no pc, I didn't redline first but was close.
I don't recommend removing the secondaries for everyone, but the guys wanting extra punch at low rpm do it.
