Just got my new land rocket.
I had my new 1400 delivered and I love it. so the next step ofcourse was to find a group of people that know more about these bikes than I do. Now i just need to move someplace warm so I can get some seat time lol.

Just ride it like you stole it.. you can look at threads here about removing the secondary flies out to give you better power on low rpm.

I like that paint scheme! I got me a Yosh R22 full system and like it not too loud which I like. That and a PC is all I have Don't think removing secondaries on newer than 07 is worthwile from all the posts I've read.

It was that or all black and the Suzuki I traded was all black so i couldnt do that again. I didnt think I would like the green but when they unloaded it i really really loved it. I ve been looking at Yosh systems Ill chek into that one. Im undecided about the flies i know that will be something left for after the warranty if I decide to do it.

No need to do the flys on this model.
Ride it for a bit. Get used to the power and then look at getting a Muzzy or Brock pipe (with map)

OBBA,
Not sure who you are, but if he doesn't remove the flys, it will run like a pig.... If you paid over 9k for this bike you paid too much. They are on ebay all day for 9500 NEW

I believe you are wrong about the flies. In the 08-up the flies open earlier so it's hardly noticeable that the flies are there. You will still have a gain in low end hp, but a very small amount.
I saw pull them anyway, but it's not going to run like a pig.

maybe your are correct, I haven't owned a 14 since my 07, but my 07,08 and 2011 zx10 need it done. Perhaps Kawi changed their format with the 08 and about zx14, but changed it for the 2011 zx10.
I remember WEE saying that the 2012 zx14r hardle can tell they are there...... Now I am wondering is there a real purpose for them.

I wasnt ready to kick out 13k on a new bike untill I was sure it was a bike I really love, I figured my first 14 will be a 2011 and if I like it as much as I think i will then Ill get the new one next time. I have a record of only keeping a bike 4 years or so I had my Gixxer 4 years and when I traded it it had 22k on it so I get my use out of them. Ofcourse the price was right thats the only reason i went ahead and traded lol even the loan officer at my bank was floored by the price, still in the crate and the dealership deliverd it over 90 miles to my house. So the way i see it either something is wrong with it and they wanted to unload it, or the 12s are out now so they just wanted to unload it. Also here comes the dumb questions now lol. I know when i was told to pull the flies on my gixxer I also had to take the shaft out and trick the sensors needless to say they stayed along for the ride, so my question is with these is it just a matter of taking the plates off or do i have to get the shaft out and trick the sensor again?

Congratulations on the new bike- you're gonna love it.
No you don't need pull the shaft. Just remove the plates.
It really isn't neccessary on the 2011 but if you want to do it, use the search at the top right of the page. There's lots of info on how to do it.

If you shop around, right now you can get leftover 2010's for about $9300 OTD, or an '11 for about $10k OTD. A 14 for $9300 (or $10k) is an incredible deal, on a fantastic machine.
Nice bike...I almost took one like it home back in July!

Ill tell you I got her for a soft 95k not to shabby concidering it was still in the crate so nobody was sitting on it in a showroom, thats a far cry from the 12k I was gonna pay for one 4 years ago when io bought my suzuki. Now I get to stare at it in the garage for the next 5 or 6 months lol. Thanks for the info on the flies thats good stuff to know incase I decide to get rid of them.
