Brocks Pipe 14r "Whizbang"

Brock, didn't get much answered calling, your new Whizbang pipe as Lucky14 calls it will be ready in 3-4 weeks according to your staff, they don't know much about it, was told it will have spacers for shimming so no hammer required. I want to know about pipe diameter, will the Whizbang have the same headpipe diameter as a CT? are you still waiting for people to order before you have them made?

From the video where Brock was interviewed:

"We modified one of our old exhaust systems to fit it."

"Bob was good about giving me enough dimensions so we could bend, sort of finagle one of my old exhausts from the earlier ZX-14's .................."

"I need to go back to the drawing board and redesign an exhaust that matches this engine (not gonna happen anytime soon)."

"We'll have something that fits in about 3 weeks (for people that just have to have something to replace the big, ugly exhausts now).

It doesn't sound like to me that you just throw on an old exhaust and space out the radiator a 1/4 inch...........

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

I don't think Brock is coming here to post anymore .. SO i will answer this question ... The Smeg will fit by spacing the Rad out a 1/4 of an inch on the lower bracket ..

The other thing is the spigots that go into the port ... The new head is 70 thou larger exhaust port than the old head .. . The old pipe will bolt up but there will be a little bit of the pipe in the flow path .. I guess you could order the new larger spigots and then expand your Gen 1 smeg head pipes to fit the new spigots .. I asked Brock about doing this and he said it would work .. I did not ask Brock if he would sell just the larger spigots but i took it that he would because he was telling me about it ..
Best bet is to call Brock and ask him about buying the new spigots ... I'm going to try the pipe as is , hell it has to be better than the factory headers ..

Everybody wanting to open up the exhaust, bigger, better, whizbang . What about the TB's, same 44's on 1441cc, must need bigger TB's ??? Flow more out, need more flow in , can we say restriction.
Didn't Jim say 5 to 8 hp gain 47's vs 44's on 1352 cc stock motor.
14-r =1441cc, with polished ports, bigger ex ports, bigger cam, 89cc more got to need more TB flow ?? 8, 10 12 HP or more ??? Big o honking air pump, let it breath

10r-1000cc has 47 TB's feeding = 250cc per - 31mm intake V's - .409 cam

14r-1441cc has 44 TB's feeding = 360.29cc per - 33mm - intake V's-.366 cam
