Memphis or Surrounding areas
Hows the track scene in this area? I know that Memphis just reopened and it does not look like there are any other tracks close. I am almost certain of a move to this area before year end and its not looking good for track days.

Music City is not far. all you want at Holly Springs right across the state line in Miss. Huntsville Al. dragway one of the better 1/8th mile tracks.

Scene here is pretty intense. There's a multitude of 8.70-8.50 bikes here (In Memphis) and the track is always packed especially since it reopened. Memphis motorsports is a great track Open tues and thurs test and tune and Friday nights for midnight madness. As Big T said, holly springs is just a few miles away.

Drop down a little further into Miss. and you can go to the all bike events that they have at Hub City.

It is a crapy, primer, dirty looking first gen busa. It looks like they are always working on it at the track. Never makes a clean shakedown pass..... But when it comes time for the money run it's as crisp as a new dollar bill and is super fast.

A couple more weeks and we shut down for dec, jan, feb.
It's so cold and wet that most don't ride anyway.( except for the few nice days that pop up).
Memphis gets all 4 seasons, and we ride 3 of them.
The gate (street racing) never closes.

Just stay out of the southside after dark. My brother and sister in law live right across the bridge in Ark. Nice area. curious? where are you moving from?

I live in Orlando right now and am moving for to Memphis for sure. I was offered the job today and everything looks good. I am actually looking at Germantown or Lakeland but at this point my options are completely open as to where I am moving to in Memphis.

The good news is tracks here in Tn. Open the 1st week of Feburary weather permiting. We usually get 2 of the 4 weekends and the weather gets 2. Congrats on the new job.

Good luck on the new Job. I lived in the Orlando area for a while. At least you will get to see all 4 seasons. You will be living where the legendary "Shine" that rides al the fast bikes lives.

Collierville is nice, lakeland, Germantown, some areas of Bartlett. But as warned stay away from South Memphis or North. Lol. It's unforgiving after dark. And a concealed carry permit is almost necessary. As far as Shine, you'll be meeting him in person real soon lol
