Getting HID's for my 14

Ok so I have decided to pull the trigger on getting HID lights for my 14, I bought 3000k for the highs and 6000k's for the lows, and new 1.5 watt LED's for the parking lights, what I want to know for those that have installed them , did you use relays? If not would you recommend using them? I am thinking it might ease the issues with them not lighting when they should like I have seen with other bikes. Though the wiring is much more involved using a relay, any recommendations?
Thanks!

And you never had any issues with them not lighting? Also where did you put your ballasts?

+1, never used relays & zip tied to ram air ducts (ballasts). Hopefully you get the "tiny" digital ballasts

I also have HID's on my 09. I did not use relays, and i got the small digital ballasts. My ballasts are in the side panels above the turn signals. No issues with mine not lighting at all and ive been running them for over a year now..

I know I got the slim ballasts, I am not sure who makes the kits, I will let you know when I see them , So I guess I will go with no relay since no one seems to be having any issues, Thanks for the responses!

Well they are on!!!

I love them the 3000k are ridiculously bright, I put two ballast on the intake and two down in the fairings by the turn signals, I did not think I would have to take off the front of the bike but it was just easier to put everything where I wanted it. Here are a couple pics, and I replace the parking lights with one watt LED's

BTW,,,, not all HID's are equal. There is the standard 35W version and then there's the 55W tan the back of the head of the guy in front of you version.

I went with the 55w kits from DDM Tuning. Nary a problem so far (2.5 years). I like DDM because they stand by their warranty when you can get a hold of them. I had a bad ballast in my truck and they did right by me.
