My 2012 ZX14R Green SE is in, and in the crate, will be getting it set up very soon... I have visited with Steve, (over the phone) at "Brocks", we talked about street riding... keeping the flys, and NOT having the loudest sounding exhaust... So far it looks like I will be going with the Stainless system, with the 20" street meg, and a PC to run a nice map for street use, when these items become available. I felt Steve was very helpful...otherwise, I will be keeping the rest of the bike completely stock...I welcome any input from other riders...but was happy with the conversation I had with Steve...I felt he represented "Brocks" well.

That 20" street meg is still pretty loud. If you don't want loud you would need the Gen III muffler.

justoys2,
What info. do you need? If you mean all of the marketing info. dyno charts etc., it's still going to be a while before the 14R product specific info. is finished, but all of our current 14 info. applies since the systems aren't being redesigned.
My graphics team is working on literature for Dealer Expo 2012 and the ZX-14R will be our new product leader. We have many new items in the works from high end (carbon fiber 240 wheel/swingarm kits) to low end, like 6" extened brake lines for guys with swingarm extensions.

Brock,
You talked about the new Ti exhaust, what exhaust are you talking about? Is it the CT, a SMEG or an AH. Can I order this exhaust Monday, what am I actually purchasing? Is there any info about this new TI that you can share? All my bikes have your exhausts mounted.
I haven't purchased the 14R yet, but I am purchasing everything I need to prior to purchase.
As you can tell I am very interested in the new system, but you really haven't provided any info, except that you will put your NEW TI exhasut against anyone exhaust on the market. You also mentioned a good price when compared to the CT.... 1) Is it a secret or not.... 2) it's available, 3) what is the pipe called, and finally 4) what is teh price

It's my understanding that the alien head and smeg in stainless get the up grades .. The CT and TI sidewinder stay as is and work very well with the new 1441 motor.. I could be wrong but that is what i remembered after taking to Brock ...

You may have to shim the rad out a bit at the bottom , no biggie ... I shimmed mine just a bit for smeg a bit ( one thin washer ) .. Again my understanding is the new alien head and smeg you will not have to do that ..

How about a removable Brocks sticker, drilling out the rivet's leaves holes to fill
some people get paid to advertize!
might be nice pipes, rivet's look cheap!!

Lee, you said,"It's my understanding that the alien head and smeg in stainless get the up grades". Now are you stated that the AH2 is the new stainless system and what about the SMEG? Are there any dyno numbers for the two new systems?
I just purchased a used AH1, what do you think the power increase will be with this Gen 1 mounted on the Gen2 14?
Does anyone knows what the power level increase or degrease between the Gen 1 (AH1 and the SMEG)?

Brock said the Alien 1 head was ok for up to 200 HP ... The new Alien head will be good passed 200 HP ... The gen 1 Alien head was smaller than the smeg where in went into the muffler .. The new Alien head will be bigger at that choke point .. It will also Be 70 thou bigger at the head to match the new ZX14R head ... As will the Smeg ...The used A H 1 you got used will work BUT may hurt you or hold you back after 200 HP mark ... I have Alien Head 2 on order for my bike ..

Unfortunately for you, the old AH is the one to avoid on the 14R, if you are looking for max HP.
Here is what Brock said in another thread:
"Special Note to Alien Head and owners: While AH owners love the look and sound, the reality is that we reverse taper the baffle from 2.25 inlet to 2.00 outlet to accommodate the Alien Head end cap. This works just fine up to 200 RWHP… +/- a couple. This is the magic number. If you call my staff with a built engine/nitrous etc. They will alert you of this situation and point you towards a 2.25 straight through system (CT Series, StreetMeg, and Gen 4 etc. - for bigger power TiWinder, Sidewinder etc.) FYI: The ShortMeg has the same issue.
Final answer, our current lineup works on the new ZX-14R and even the Alien Head won’t just stop at 200 RWHP on a 215 HP machine…. But, in recent testing on a 216 RWHP 1441 Busa with a CT Meg --- the power dropped to 208 RWHP with an Alien Head. You can see how I can’t have my name on a situation like this on the new 14R."

New questions after reading Brock's series (Diary) IF Brock, and others could weigh in...please? (I read just enough to be dangerous now) SmokenZX14, you have a 20" smeg with the baffle inserted on the blue 14R, do you feel this keeps the sound at a level, (although higher than stock), people would not be put off by how loud it is for street use?
Wheelie; how do you feel about the smeg you are running (looks like a 20") with regard to street use? Maybe these bikes are not street use machines?
Dakota9498, thanks for the heads up on the sound factor...20" smeg.
Brock; if I were to keep the stock exhaust on my 14R, would I still benefit from a power commander? Although I am not crazy over the looks of the stock system...I could learn...
What I am looking to accomplish:
Lose the weight of the stock exhuast system, gain some performance of course, and have the green Brock name plate on the new exhaust as it would kind of go with the Green SE 14R.
My choices seem limited to only a few systems that Brock sells. I do like the look of the 20" smeg as one option. Gen III and Gen IV donot give me the green name plate option, but would possibly, NOT be as loud as other systems, (although louder than stock is OK) and I don't know if I can remove the black name plate, order a green plate, and install it myself.
Are all the plates revited on all the systems? I understand that mapping is needed to get the most out of whatever system I end up with.
In Montana I have access to many...many miles of highway, (it ain't the end of the World, but you can see it from here) that allow me to enjoy some "high" speed traveling, (staying within the posted speed limits of course???what and this is where I enjoy my current 2011 ZX14. I would not be doing any racing...although some spirited take offs would not be out of the question. Mostly sport touring type riding. Just looking for a system that will not piss people off with the loud factor...and the loud factor is subject to opinnon of course.
But we have all heard some individuals pipe their Harleys for example, that really get your attention, but not in a good way. Thank you for any help and input. And anyone who hears my bike may be thanking you too.

I have a Muzzle M10/14 on my 14r, it belongs to JZX, it will be coming off Tuesday and replaced with a CT single full system, gotta have those fat pipes. I had a smeg on my 09, it's pretty loud if you get into the higher revs, but nothing wrong with it for street use, I don't know what's going on in the Brock World but if he is making a smeg for the 14r I would recommend you waiting for it, always buy the pipe "you" want and you will be happy.

Wheelie: I just left the Brocks site...that CT looks great and I can get the green plate for it...Is the Power Commander V available with this system? (as far as you know-and are you waiting on this Power Commander before you place your order?) I can get this system as well...are you able to say what you were quoted? Maybe they would do a special price to sell two systems right off the bat? Thank you.

For street riders, I wonder if the slimmer/tapered AH1 headers would give more low-mid power? What exhausts would fit on it and help accomplish that same goal? I love the looks of the CT but I'd rather have more low-end torque. 190-200 hp at the rear tire is adequate for me on the street. Love torque...

It's a 1441, I don't think that torque is going to be a problem with any exhaust.

Understood it's strong. However, I'm going to change the exhaust anyway for looks, sound, heat, throttle response, etc. I may as well maximize my goal. I'm really diggin' the CT so far. It even looks doable w/o a PC. I'll be interested to see about maps and flies out w/the R. If it's not a pretty significant difference, I'll just stick w/the exhaust.
Thanks much. Staying tuned.

I think Brocks charts show the CT fatty full systems making the most torque
