[Q] any chance for ABS in 2012 zx14R US model

I must have abs

is there a chance that 14R US model will have ABS later on this year ?

UK and Australia have that, do not want to wait till 2013...

thanks

Personally I find it really odd that you US guys didn't get the ABS model, or at least have it as an option so that you can make your own minds up about having ABS or not.

I'm certainly very happy that we here in Australia are getting the ZX-14R ABS bike, as I highly value ABS and that it could save my life in certain situations.

Its probably just a matter of time before the US gets the ZX-14R ABS model, perhaps as an option along side the non-ABS version, but as to how long tht wil take is likely something only KHI USA could answer.

Cheers,

Greggy

Lack of ABS takes the tip of the scales toward not as excited to buy. I'll put it this way I have always bought Kaws but this rather irritates me. I'll go so far as to say if Busa gets ABS all else comperable I would switch. It won't cost them a dime more anyway the bike already exsists with ABS and all world emissions compliance.

Yes, it's odd that ABS isn't even offered as an option. I was just reading that it will be a standard fitment on all new BMW bikes sold in the USA in 2012. Even the humble Suzuki V-Strom will have it. My 2010 Fireblade had ABS, maybe I wouldn't have wanted it on a race track but it was a bonus for everyday riding - not noticeable most of the time but working superbly when you needed it.

Maybe they left if off cause it would raise the price yet another $500 and they figured the US market just wouldn't accept that? Grasping at straws here though... really don't understand why they couldn't offer it as an option.

Some of us would gladly pay $500 more for ABS! Put a price on your life or saving your bike from a crash... $500 seems like a bargain doesn't it?
