Surely at the strip or any standing start match the 14 has the advantage.
If we're talking about going from a roll...it kinda depends on the start and end speeds.
Roll from high enough speeds and the 10 can be right there if not walk because of its superior weight/power ratio....but from a dig that wheelbase and torque on the 14 will put it out front.
It just depends on how each is setup really. Put them both at 60" and now the 14's wheelbase advantage is negated. If the 10 has some gearing then the 10 has a chance at taking the 14 out at the strip. The torquey bikes are nice in that if you make a mistake they can still recover better from rider mistakes like short shifting.
If you spool from a high enough speed so the 10 is in its powerband I think its too close to call. Any time I've ran a 10 from HWY speeds I jump out on them while i'm on the 12...but as soon as we spool from higher speeds so they are screaming in 1st they do much better and have a better chance of locking up with me till 160-whatever. Of course the 12 still pulls em past that BUT the race is more competitive when they are able to capitalize on their advantages....weight to power ratio.

We have a guy that just bought a 2005 zx 10 running it with a slip on and no pwr commander and at 62 inches he went a 9.18 150 which I would have said he would never have done. he weighs 180 unsuited. that was only with a 1.47 60 ft

Well it must be cause i would have never guessed it, interesting to see what he does with a pipe and tune next season. Only down fall is he's on his 3rd clutch in 80 passes. I would not deal with that.
