Brock's exhaust prices
Is it just me or did Brock just raise all the prices on the ZX14 exhaust systems?

I've still got the Brocks short megaphone which was on my 2006 bike. I sold the bike last year with the standard system back on it.
I guess it will fit a 2012 ZX-14?

I could be wrong, but I believe the CTs are made overseas in Japan...welcome to inflation and a devalued U.S. dollar.

Sorry Guys,
It's not ONLY on the ZX-14's.>>>it's on ALL Ti Systems. Because of the earthquake, declining dollar and increasing value of the yen... we were slapped with an increase of as much as 28% ?!
Here are a few points directly from our manufacturer's letter:
Titanium has increased 13% and Steel has increased 7%, driven by tight supply due to the catastrophic earthquake that struck Japan in March.
US Dollar has been declining more than 18% againt Japanese Yen since last quarter in 2008 when we had initially set the current pricing level.
In order to not increase the retail price to compensate and REALLY hit you guys hard--- we dropped availability to our largest customers, including Tucker-Rocky and reduced our profit levels.... THAT's not an easy business decision to make (on either end) in this economy.

This sounds like a reason to look at having the pipes made in the USA. I know the Japanese can make some sick Ti exhaust systems, but if the prices have risen that much its time to look elsewhere.

check the price of bikes lately? EVERYTHING is up in price. Pretty much out of most peoples hands, esp a small aftermarket manufacturer - talk to the guberment about them devaluing the greenback.

Brock, I noticed Tucker stopped selling the BSTs (maybe 2010?) so I figured there was an economic decision behind it. On a side note, we got a nice pipe from you guys through TR for a Busa a few weeks ago, everything came in quick and right.

Carbon prices also went through the roof also - but you don't just stop a big wheel like T-R from rolling instantly.

I ordered a Brocks CT single exhaust for my 2009 ZX14 back in August. I ordered the Brocks pipe and PowerCommander V through a dealer in Florida. Brocks shipped the pipe to the dealer in Florida and that shipment was insured as all Brocks shipments are shipped (don't ask me how I know this). That part of the transaction went fine. My "motorcycle parts dealer" in Florida shipped the Brocks pipe to me without insurance via United States Post Office (USPS). Somewhere along the line, the USPS ripped open the box (accident or on purpose, I have no idea) and the header pipes, mid-pipe, and the PC V were gone!
My dealer has yet to make good on this, however, I contacted Brocks and explained the situation. I ensured that Brocks knew that I did not blame them for anything at all, as they had done absolutely nothing wrong, however, I was stuck with this dealer who didn't want to make good on his mistake to ship my pipe with insurance.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT BROCKS STEPPED UP BIG TIME. BROCKS PERFORMANCE HAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. BROCKS DIDN'T HAVE TO HELP ME OUT, BUT THEY DID. I AM STILL TRYING TO RECOVER MY LOSS FROM THE DEALER IN FLORIDA, AND I WILL NAME HIM IF HE DOESN'T STRAIGHTEN THIS OUT SOON.
BROCKS PERFORMANCE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING!!!

Kneescraper that sucks. IMO Any retailer that ships without insurance is downright unprofessional. I imagine you bought the item with a Credit card. I would be disputing that charge with the CC company. Its the responsibility of the shipper/retailer and if they have to send you another system well then thats the cost of doing business and for a 1500 pipe well that should be insured.

The shipper was unprofessional. I had no idea that he was shipping without insurance. His business insurance (at least he claimed to have business insurance, but he may not) only covered him in the shop and not after he had mailed the package.
I had purchased before from him, as well as others that I know of. He requested personal checks so he didn't have to pay the credit card fee of 1% or 3 % or whatever it was. Anyway, a bunch of us on another forum had purchased from him in the past without any issues that I am aware of at this point. I paid with a check. If he doesn't make it right soon, I will out him and his business in a very public way, to include contacting the better business bureau and probably suing him. Brocks has suspended his account, so he will no longer be selling Brocks Performance products.
Like I said earlier, Brocks Performance stepped up and they didn't even have to step up. Brocks Performance treated me exceptionally well and I respect them a great deal for it. This other motorcycle parts dealer, not so much.

Wow I'm glad I bought an Alienhead used at $650.It looked brand new as it does to this day in my garage. But BROCK has the best service.Even though I didn't buy it there I proved who the original buyer was and within a week 5 maps to my E-Mail.The only reason I didn't buy it from him was I just didn't have the money.Never considered another brand. My hats off to you Brock.

KneeScraper,
Unfortunately, I don't even need to ask who it was...
You are correct, we simply will not do business with companies who treat the end user in this fashion. They have been elimianted from our dealer program.
YES- we need to sell product, but not like this. Everyone loses except the creep who won't step up and admit they weren't responsible enough to handle the transaction correctly in the first place.
Thank you for the kind words, I will pass this link along to my staff.

If I could find a US mfg. that could even come close to the quality and craftsmanship--- I would be all over it.
I've been looking for years. We use the same material as the OEM's do in their head pipes (even better on our TiWinders)... That's why you don't see hardly any US companies even offer Ti systems = warranty issues. They get hard, crack and tear up. We don't have that problem.
