Stage 2 Mr turbo help need....

I just purchased the Mr.Turbo kit from "Bullet Proof Cycle" with Carillo rods and JE pistons. M43 Powersports is going to perform the install for me. Ricks Custom Cycle is going to Dyno tune it for me on 110oct. Anyone out there with this set-up? What Hp do you think is achieveable? Any Internal recommendations? We're going to upgrade the timing chain tensioner, Head gasket, Head Bolts, JE Pistons, Carillo Rods, Timing Control Module, PCIII USB, Turning the gas tank into a fuel cell.... any help or info would be great.

I would also look at getting the sb6 from msd for timing control.

xnay the SB6, timing control isn't needed. I've ran my bike with 8 psi all the way up to 23 psi and never make any timing adjustments.

Thank you fotr the feedback so far. I'm going to have it dyno tuned on VP Q16. You guys have any experience with this fuel? I know its expensive but this is primarily going to be a track bike with the occasional 25-50mile trip.

Q16 really isn't necessary. You'll get a couple of extra HP out of it, but it's twice the price. Go with C16. It'll make a scosh less power but it will be more consistant and cheaper.

First off, your hp will be determine by your boost level.....

As to the fuel, I would use the q16, it cost the same price and depending upon your boost level, possibly you wouldn't have any detonation issue....

I suggest you speaking with the folks that build turbo 14s or have owned them..... Many folks will comment about a turbo and never worked on one let alone owned one...

Look up Chris Jone from Cheifland, FL.... He is the king with a turbo 14 (hands down)

I'm guessing c16 And he is on a Chris Jones set up. So maybe hit up Chris Jones about that stuff.

Q16 makes more power for sure but with its oxygen content I wouldn't run it. Your bike will make plenty of power without trying to gain an extra 10% HP with fuel. Play it safe and run C16.

Same price here in ABQ. That's if you bring your own can. If you buy a can off the shelf it's 75.

If your motor is built right (compression ratio and combustion chamber set-up), you don't need to pull a lick of timing from a bike with an efficient turbo system, fuel system, and tuned properely. And yes, I do some mods to increase oil volume/pressure in some areas. I have never pulled timing in nothing but the standalone ECU bikes (magnetti, and AEM). Those are run at 28-32 psi. Thats a little different ball game. For bikes I build using gt30's up to gt35 turbos running at 24 psi or less, I pull no timing. On my personal bikes I have run up to 26 psi with no issues. Have gone as quick as 7.40's@199 mph with a gt35. That is with c-16 fuel only... BIG PERIOD. NOTHING ELSE. I have used q-16 without any issues in the real-street bikes running around 22 psi. I had to enrichen the entire fuel map by 12% using it. It does make more power, however, you got to drain that stinkin crap if you plan to let the bikes sit for any period. I love q-16 for NOS bikes over c-16. I almost forgot, this is a turbo reply. C-16 is like a good insurance policy. Regardless of who's turbo system you have, your biggest and most important factor in the world of turbo bikes is finding a tuner that is experienced with tuning a turbo bike. The fuel requirements for a turbo bike v/s normally aspirated are entirely different. Mapping becomes more complicated when you are running a bike at multipule boost levels (example: 5 pounds wastgate, then maybe adding 10-15 to the top side.). Now you have to have a system that is capable, and tuned properly to support the bike efficently and smoothly over a vast boost area. Just my 2 cents, hope this helps you out. P.S. c-16 and q-16 are the same price, I buy them both all the time. Thanks, Chris Jones.

Thank you for the input. Would you re-tune the bike if switching from Q16 to C16?
