Who would win this RACE!!!!!!!!
It going to happen today.
grude busa flat slick,slider,long as hell,tuned by coby adams, runs 4.8 in the 1/8 v/s zx14 stock body work and hand clutch with gas running 5.5-5.4.
The zx14 gets 4 bikes and the break/move or whatever ya'll call it. @ a 1/8 drag at the track.
Who do you think will win and why?

The human brain takes half a second to react. We can react to the lights faster because we anticipate them.
4 bikes is huge in the 1/8 mile. BUT, you aren't going to get as much traction when you start 4 bikes out. You get a 24' head start PLUS a half second when you take the break.
IF you can hook 24' out, the busa doesn't have a chance in the 1/8 mile

The race will come down how quick the busa leaves. Busa on paper should win, but the race will be won or lost on the reaction.

Pretty tough to make up that difference. He's close to a full second faster than you in the 1/4, but like everyone is saying, it will come down to the reaction. Goodluck!

Only one way to find out.
And no, getting the hit is not like leaving on a pro tree.
Case in point, 2 races ago in tulsa they turned autostart off. The starting line guy triggered the lights.
ALL those guys that were cutting .020- .040 lights SUDDENLY started cutting .250s.
Why? Because even though the yellows are on for .400 of a second, you KNOW when they're coming on.
When you let someone take the hit, you have no idea when they're going to leave. Now, you get that .400 from where the tree would normally be, plus .250 or slower on the actual reaction time. That = .650 advantage to the guy that takes the hit.
Add 4 bikes advantage and the 14 wins. You'll NEVER see me give somebody the hit. I may let you stage with the back tire, but you're never going to leave first.

I smoked a grudge racer on an old waterpumper zuk that ran 5.10's 1/8th mike on my nos ZX12 on Ranken Rd in H-town. I gave him 2 bikes but he had to go on my move. He didnt have a chance and I would do that race again with the same result. We went to the strip club on his $$$ after that.

the hit is not letting the other bike leave 1st .. its letting the guys arm or fingers move depending which lane not the bike moving .. gots to know how to negotiate... ever run index racing and had a 2/10's finish with a even start ..its around 4 bike lengths...you coming to grudgefest 4 ...

If the Busa is that much faster and he lines up with more then an 8th mile and you have less to pull mph- hes gona run around you with even more mph. I would put him out in front and tell him to go when you do, that means when you get to him, you will already have mph by the time he gets rolling.

Busa backed-out after watching the zx14 shake down.
There is no way he would beat the zx14 in that race.
He would loose a min.of .3 on the hit .4 on the bikes.
It would be more like.8 he would have to make-up.
Besides, I think the zx14 is a little faster than posted
