1/4 mile results

The whole time I thought it was wheelspin. This time slip was the the pass before I SMOKED my clutch. Thanks to the gimp wrist. I needed help getting the bike on the trailer :-/
It was the DP clutch. Factory clutches next time.

Clutch was going out last week I guess.. Not too good for a SS head..

"not too bad for a ss head"....... You would bs better off saying not too bad for a burnt clutch because there are a lot of guys here the run faster than that stock motor.

That's why I said not too GOOD for an SS head. I know how quick alot of guys go stock motor. It sucks becuase we had good air last night. On that pass, I went thru the traps in 6th gear. My 1st pass with a 1.59 60' was a 9.05 at 153 and it went thru the traps in 5th gear.

New clutches will be in around noon.. f@$k it

KingTrap,

Due to the clutch only having 5 springs (odd #) I didn't use heavy springs, I shimmed the stock one (Ace sell shim for cheap). I added two shim per spring for even pressure and ran the lock up with no weights. I problem was warpping the metals, this eliminated this problem. His is burning up the frictions. I would suggest using the current spring pressure and the lock assymbly then add a small amount of weight to ea eyelet.... if he adds too much it will cause the clutch to go 1 to1 too soon and spin the tire....

So, I would start out light, but keep even weight on all fingers.

What do you want to do? You go .30's with your boost, I don't, so if you are calling me out, you gotta give me something. If you are'nt gonna make it a race, then there is another bike.

Unless you just like calling out 190hp n/a bikes on the internet...

What were you smokin when you read me posting that? Only thing I recall saying was to the east coast sea level guys to come run out here in our DA- and I threw in a "get drugg" comment-being funny but also knowing they would wake up to reality.

Being that you are from Texas You should know what I'm talking about- But like I said, I guess you were'nt paying attention.

I will be out there in Oct either way..

Don' t get me wrong, I'm not trying to be an azzhole, I am running 5.80 too, but I do KNOW my bike will go .60's on my new clutch-pump gas, so I will race you heads up too, maybe you will miss a gear?

Thanks man, based on what the bike ran before the milled head it was already 8.90's, I just ran the 8th mile mostly. I figure as it sits on pump gas with the new clutch its an 8.80 at my weight with the same 60's. MR12 8.70's.

So maybe the SS head puts me where the lighter guys would be stock in my elevation and typical air? Thats really all I wanted with minimal mods and factory parts.
