What stands are you guys using?
I'm in the markety for stands as I'll be modding very soon. Are the ones on Ebay junk? Also do you reccomend the "head" stand for the front or the one that lifts from under the forks?

I have ebay and pit bull stands.
I use which ever is closer when i need one.
I like the light weight ebay stand when traveling to the track.
light and easy to grab, plus less likely some dick will steal it when i make a pass.+

I have had t-rex stands, vortex stands, and pitbull stands. I still have the pitbull stands.
If you want a rear stand that will work with extensions you need a forward handle rear stand. like this one... http://www.pit-bull.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PBMSA&Product_Code=F0043-000&Category_Code=rear_stands
as far as the front stand.. If you do not have your bike lowered in the front via the forks you can use the Pin stand that lifts the bike by your lower triple tree like this one... http://www.pit-bull.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PBMSA&Product_Code=F0031-000&Category_Code=front_stands
If you do have you bike lowered in the front you will need to go with a fork stand like this one.. http://www.pit-bull.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PBMSA&Product_Code=F0015-000&Category_Code=front_stands
BUT if you go with a fork stand it is damn near impossible to remove the front wheel while on the stands. and very unsafe. If you are using the pin stand it is a piece of cake to remove the front wheel or do brakes rotors or anything else associated with the front end. Removal of front fender is only necessary if it is lowered and using the pin stand.
I have the pin stand myself and it is possible to use without removing bodywork. Sometimes you have to be patient and work at it for a minute to make sure everything is right. But not so bad it is annoying.
Just make sure to have the back already lifted and up on a stand before you attempt to use a pin stand on the front. Bad things happen if you don't.
Just my $.02

you can also get a stand like this one to use with extensions, The only thing is you can not use the spools due to their location. You have to use the flat paddles that are on the stands. they will flip either way.. http://www.pit-bull.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PBMSA&Product_Code=F0028-000&Category_Code=rear_stands
My personal opinion.. the front handle stand is $139.95 and the other is $143.95. Why spend the more money when you can just use your spools and not trip over a handle when working around the bike?

. If you want the best (big and heavy) get pit bull, if you want to get the job done, get the ebay stands. . The Pit bull front with pin is great for changing the forks

I think these are best bang for the buck. They have spool lifts and swing arm attachments for after I extend it

Motomoto, why would the centerstand look dangerous. It goes where the little wing used to mount.
