If it is true 65mm stroke it was probably developed primarily for the more profitable C14 than the ZX but I'll take as a windfall. It'll spit rubber in the face of them liters and Busas.

My 06 makes 190 to the wheel stock dimensions. It would take a lot for me to trade in.

This thing should have enough grunt in the mid to embarass even the lightest liter bikes.
Kinda like the difference between a 350 SBC and a 27 or 54.

Rumour has it that it will not come with a pannier bag option, but it will have side racks suitable to carry 200/50/17's

Thats EXACTLY what I'm picturing..........I;m envisioning the ZX14R as a 455 or 454 Bigblock and the 1000's as 350 SBC

4mm stroke?
Wonder if they made the block longer, or separate?
I think you have to run short rods (no no) or 2 ring pistons to run 4 mm stroke on 06-11 zx14.
If i'm right we won't be able to just throw that crank in older cases.

if it is a stroker the wrist pins are probably smaller and the rods maybe 2mm shorter to allow for 3 rings. The only difference between a gen 1 busa rod and a gen 2 busa rod is gen 1s had 20mm wrist pins and gen 2s have 18mm wrist pins.

Not a chinamans chance they will go with shorter rods with the longer stroke.
The rod length on the original 14 was marginal, and they know it. It will have a taller deck without a doubt.

not to hate or anything, but my bike went 6.50@110 factory showroom stock & 6.41@ 112 on stock pipes and a 16t front sprocket, lowered and strapped and flies removed with no pc3. I put a pipe on it and only got to take it to the track once before I went out to sea and that was with the 16t front sprocket carrying the wheel past the 330 ft mark. with the pipe it went 6.30@115 swb still on the 2nd hole of my 3 hole links. The mph is impressive and from what i've heard the track prep at barona is suspect these days, but the jury is still out on this one.

FWIW, my bike ran 120mph @ 64" wheelbase. We've got a buddy that has a 210hp 1000 that runs around 125mph when it's running right. That track is not numbers friendly, but it is secluded lol. busas usually trap about 2-3mph slower than the 14's at that track. The one exception being vince who is a big boy but still runs fast numbers.

ANYONE who has ever ridden that track will tell you that it is the slowest track on the west coast.

Just my $.02

Everyone poo poo's a new thing before they even lay eyes on it. Quick to fault but over time the machine it replaces looks and performs dated just like a ZX12 or gen1 busa.

are you serious? qualcomm has sea level air. I got banned my first time out there on my bike when it was factory show room stock. 6.40@117mph first pass and they wrote me a letter asking me not to come back. I went to Barona the next night and couldn't turn faster than 6.7's on the same 60ft and ran 5-6mph slower! If you can hook, qualcomm is stupid fast. you just can't get slowed down in time to not die lol.

Dayum. A 210 hp 1000 should be trapping 133-134 in the 1/8. I thought our air sucked

Yeah, more power is good. I would be just as excited after 6 years that maybe Kawasaki could sell a bike that did not leak oil out of the cam cover and did not have the 'death rattle' on start up.

Why would they ask you not to come back for running a good time...............WTF that makes no sense at all to me?

It really isn't a track, it is part of the parking lot at Qualcomm Stadium (San Diego Chargers). The shutdown area isn't very long so they have imposed a 6.00 limit and a 115mph limit.

But it all depends on who is there and who it is. Right before I transferred I tried to get banned, I ran a couple of 5.90s spinning and mph averaged 120+ and I didn't even get warned. But my buddy on the same night was warned for getting close to 115mph because he ran 113. Go figure.
