I have the same gearing and seems normal after a year.Mine really doesn't wheelie unless I hold it open in first gear.Maybe cause I weigh 270.

You should get a stiffer spring, then you'll notice a big difference in the handling...
If you cant afford that, then turn the bottom shock collar at least 4 turns clockwise...

Use a black perm marker to mark 1 or 2 of the teeth so you know how many times your goin around...
Look up Racetech.com or le-suspension.com... You can send them your shock & they can put a heavier spring on...

A Busa spring is heavier than the stock spring. You can get them cheap.

Get yourself a set of Race Tech fork springs & Shock spring, check the rate at which you need from their site or call them up (rear is blue also, matches my bike). I am 6'0, 235 and ride 2 up often... Cant put into words what an amazing improvement the springs were..... about $200 for both springs.

I recently set my stock suspension up as much as I could and it is a huge gain in handling, I'm also going for the Racetech equipment when I have put the stock suspension through a good workout. I'm around 200 and probably 215 or more in full gear. I don't notice it wanting to wheelie too much right now, but I also have not adjusted my rear shock height. I only did rebound and compression so far. I still need to make more measurements for my sag as I try and drop some of my own weight.

Im 315 pounds and I run 17/40 with SWB, my bike wheelies hard at about 7 grand in first gear. I imagine 16/43 is insane!

You guys will get more life out of your chain if you just go with a bigger rear. 16 tooth on a 530 puts a lot of stress on the chain

16\43 is pretty nice with the 55 series rear that I went with last tire change. It isn't as smooth as 17\43 though. I will be doing a larger rear sprocket and stock front when the chain gets replaced.
