Interesting test with sb6 tonight
Didn't go into much detail making adjustments (no laptop) but i did make some changes, and the results were interesting.
You can store 10 "maps" in the sb6. You can make up to 6* advance.
I had map 1 as +1* across the board, map 2 was +2*, so on and so forth up to map 6.. Map 0 was appearantly my map from last year.. I'll explain that later.
The bike made the most power at +1*, and lost .5 hp per subsequent degree advanced.
I want to make some more passes with the software, and make actual adjustments. I think the bike will make more power with timing slightly RETARDED. This is with a thin head gasket (higher compression) and 87 octane pump gas.
My map 0 was obviously my nitrous map from last year. I'm curious to see what it is, but i'm pretty sure it's between 8-12 degrees retarded. Lol. The bike made 130 hp and 60 lb/ft of torque with that map in it.
Thought you guys might like this test. I'll post back when i try retarding the timing.

try 93 and ket us know.
could be starting to detonate.
did you add more fuel with the timing?
What did the AF look like?

We tried flattening the a/f and it actually lost power. We tried a smooth 13.2 a/f, 12.2, 14.2.. Lost power both directions. The brock's map actually made the most power. Kind of weird actually.
I'm going to see what kind of power it will make on the 87 first. Then i may try 93 (there's only one station here in oklahoma city that has it) and throw some timing at it.
Then i'm going to see what kind of power it makes on mrx01

how big of a nos shot was it with 8-12 degrees retarded?

i tried the retard timing and more boost stuff way back ..and all i did was kill the power of the bike and had to keep adding boost to compensate for the power lost..
