Dyno tuned the bike today!
My 08 14 with muzzys m10/m14, bmc street, smog plates with a pcv was tinned by Nels at pacific raceways today. With the muzzys map my bike made 163.18 peak hp, 89 tq. (dynojet)
After Nels finished it, 171.51 hp 99.75 tq. The big improvement is the huge overall hp and tq increase, from 6 to 8k rpm there is a solid 20 hp increase in hp! It was extremely rich in the mid and upper, very lean down low before the tune. With the extended swingarm, down 1 up 3 gearing and a u soft tire this thing will rip your head off mid 1st gear roll ons.

He also does ecu unleashed re flashes for both gen one and two!, he is recomending I re install the flies and have this done, the flies are kept open untill midrange rpm, they are then closed slightly creating some Venturi suction condition resulting in a nice mid range hp gain! The reflash will also raise my rev limiter a few hundred rpm to reach peak hp, remove speed limiter, and a few other parameters. Im gonna go ahead with it next month.

got contact info to share?
Im interested in the ecu reflash, and I believe him.
The bottom was so much cleaner and better on my 09 with the flies in.

I don't know the details, but they are significant, i be doing this soon and will keep you guys updated.
2 wheel dynowork 13611 NE 126th PL #240 Kirkland WA 98032 425-269-5332 tell him James with the extended 14 referred you.
He can reflash your ecu by mail, you can keep your power comander and use it with the reflashed ecu (that's what I'll be doing) this way you can still add quick shifters, select maps ect

Exactly what I posted up when we trashed the muzzy map-168hp,after with a map from scratch 179hp and +8 on tq, both peak numbers but in some places under peak we picked uo as much as 23hp. I think if we would have let the bike cool down and dumped the shinko it would have made mid to high 180's on that dyno.

I have heard "be careful" extending the rev limiter-but maybe that's with a shaved head.

Yeah Nels told me the same thing about the tire and chain eating up 10hp or so, but I think it's a fair trade, example- last night coming down from the cascade mts mid 50's temps first gear roll ons resulted in 64 1/2" wheel base high as you like wheelies! And as for corners and general road manors go with the Shinco usoft, I am very surprised! Im sure I lost some cornering ability but it's not much.

Be careful on extended RPM limit. You can damage a rod bearing or have rod bolt failure.
