PC-5 mounting
Those who have done the process could you please provide suggestions on the best location for the PC5 to keep it out of site and safe from vibration damage etc.
Thank you

It comes with directions. They reccomend you mount it to the ram air tube. I mounted mine under the seat for easier access.

I did mine on the ram air tube.I just have a couple screws on the cover to take off.Pull it out and connect to the laptop. But I don't change maps that often. There are only two different Brocks maps I change too.I'm happy with the one I got so I'm done untill I get a dyno tune.

Mine is under the seat also. Much easier to get at, but it does take a little longer to install in that location. Depends on what you are going to be doing with the bike.
If you plan on dropping in a map and just riding it...put it up front. No worries about "vibration damage". Not sure what prompted that thought.

Have had mine underseat for 2 years. Really glad I chose this location. I would say it is accurate to say underseat is ~10x more complicated than the ram air tube but I still think it is very worth it for the easy access and it is just cool to pull the seat up and see all you electronics.
Here is a tutorial with all the details.

There is is just barely enough wire to do it.

No room under my seat after all the nitrous stuff got installed. Mine is on the ram air tube. Easy enought to get to but I have two maps in it so no need to keep taking it out.

mount it on ram tube!
Leave the cord attached and run it under the seat.

I left the usb wire connected and tucked away, then made a cover using shrink tubing for the usb end, and pinched it closed with pliers while it was still hot and shrinking.
Works great.
I also put the speedohealer under the guages on the aluminum headlight bracket, so i can adjust it, with out digging it out, and I can verify which program it is on, easilly. the recal button has the wire ran inside the pinch on my clip ons, and its tucked away nice but mounted solid
Ill post pics in a few days when I get home.

Appreciate all the input/replies.
ROOK--Many Thanks for the link. Will be most helpful come install time.
I'll give consideration to my access needs and mount accordingly.
Thank you to all who offered their input.
