NOS info needed
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kawasaki-ZX-14-Nitrous-Oxide-Kit-Twin-Bottles-NEW-/330585117382?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf86892c6
Always been intrigued with Nitrous. I have a lot of questions. IDK if it is something that I can actually use or if it would just end up a very cool, very expensive novelty. I already can't keep the front wheel down in 2nd gear WOT with a 45T rear. I am pretty sure going with a stretch is not my thing and I don't think I will ever be able to afford the expense of drag racing on a regular basis.
I don't know if this is something I should do but been thinking about it a long time. First, please check out this link and tell me if this is a deal I should jump on or should I bide my time and make a more thoroughly informed decision. Is this NOS even priced that good?
After we determine if it is worth passing on this deal, I have a bunch more questions.

I have nitrous on my ZX14. I love the power it adds. I don't use it all the time. I have run it drag racing. I have a progressive controller and an RPM window switch to control the NOS. Helps keep the front wheel in check.
If you do plan on drag racing, you need to find out if the track has rules governing placement of high pressure bottles. Some have a requirement that they be inside the frame area of the bike. These bottles won't be. These mount behind the rear footpeg mounts.
The deal you posted is the same price at the Dynotune Nitrous website. Their stuff is pretty good for the money. I've used it for a very long time with no issues except one bad solenoid. They don't last forever. If you want more info about it go to www.dynotunenitrous.com

Not to be a smart ass but why add nitrous to your bike if not to drag race.
You dont get very many seconds of use out of a bottle, and stock wheelbase you
are going to have to wait until 2nd or third to spray.
You will be going very fast on the street. Nitrous would probably not be a good idea for top end runs
unless you find a very good tuner.
My advise is don't risk your motor for no real gain, according to your first post.

Thanks for info Bruscer. I have made a note for the future.
Yeah, part of the reason for making the thread was to determine if this would be something I would use. I would love to have a nice lookinbg system for the cool factor but as NINJA!@ stated, there might be next to no opportunities to safely use this on the street. Nice eye candy. I'd have to have a real system though. Just hanging a couple bottles there would be no fun.

im experienced with nitrous on many bike including my zx14
there are two ways to do nitrous
the kit you showed is a kinda cheap way to do it and two bottles is kinda silly imho i can see a couple of reasons of why to stay away from that kit
if you want to do it right look at the muzzy kit its fantastic or the mps kit there both great ways and built for the zx14 they work great ive used both of them im using the muzzy airshifter/nitrous system with a large shot with a adams Solenoid and spraybar with 16/43

I disagree Ratfink. I have a set up built with Dynotune stuff and it works fine. But I did modify the kit to use a MPS spray bar. The kit the OP is looking at uses fogging nozzles to spray the air box. They work. I used them on my R1.

MAN.... leave that shit alone. You don't want to ride around with it on your bike. I bet you f*uck your motor up in a month. Nitrous is TRACK ONLY. And it is (track only) only if you have enough money to put another motor on your bike now. When the temp. changes, the bottle pressure changes, your tune changes and your motor goes boom.

I disagree. I've been running nitrous at the track and play with it every once and a while on the street for a long time. If your tune is a little on the fat side, temp changes, altitude changes, etc won't hurt. Especially if it's a small shot. I will say my runs haven't been for long times. Short bursts and that's all.

Not what you asked, but I've had stock, mild, wild, nitrous, and turbo.
The best, and most reliable fun is STOCK.
There is a 80,000 mile stocker on the board.
Racers pay to play.

I like it too. The shape of the ZC-14 tail along the bottom sort of fits the inclusion of a bottle, so why not do it on both sides. An extra 8 oz of weight but would like cool. If I had a single, it would be mounted under the tail on the opposite side as the muffler.

Hi Brucer. you must know your N2O. No problems for many yeras and many different bikes. That varying pressure idea BLK ICE brought up sounds like a definite possibility-------however, I imagine the pressure changes quite a bit as the bottle draws down even if the temp stays the same--------and we DO have nitrous mishaps--more so than turbo, I'd be willing to bet.
