07 zuk 1000 question

I know this is the zx14 board but we have some experienced folks on here who may be able to help me. On the 07 zuk 1000, there is a little hole right between the bottom of each exhaust tube and the gasket seperating the head and block. There is oil spilling out the last cylinder to the left side of the bike (left side while sitting on the bike). Can anyone tell me where that hole leads to.

A lil info, A friend of mine is rebuilding the bike after a wreck, It would run like a cylinder wasnt firing. After putting new plugs, coils, injectors, throttle body (some parts swapped off a running bike to test) and having no luck, they removed the valve cover and lossened and retightened the caps holding the cams. Now the bike runs good but it spitting oil. I have no idea why the bike would start running better after doing that unless a keeper may have been hung up some kind of way.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

i'm no zuk expert ..but there is a hole on most bikes that lets water drain from the spark plug hole for each cylinder.. and there is a gasket on each plug hole under the valve cover.. i'll be willing to bet somebody drop that gasket when they did your valve cover job ... and that spark plug hole fills with oil and drains out the front .. ..there is also the holes for the PAR valve on a busa but those should be cover or plugged i don't know if the 1000's have them or not

1badzx12r you were 100% right. Gasket left off. Bike is running perfect right now. Thanks for the great advice.

You want to wake that 1000 up put the 01-04 trans in it and do the pair valve mod. T the two breather caps together and run the hose from the T down to your crankcase breather. They say it's good for 5 HP on a 1000.
