oil in airbox again!!!

I have oil in my airbox again, first time was due to overfill. This time is not overfilled. I am about 1/2 way up site glass. I soaked up all the oil last time, box was dry. I am running OSR cut pan, could I have put something together wrong? I took rubber tube out as directed.

Bike is 2007 ZX14, tsukigi full system, pc3, flies out, bmc race filter, 16/43 sprocket, slammed.

I have had motor dropped down, could i have pinched something when putting it back up? Bike runs fine. One time blueish puff smoke, and whiteish smoke, but if alot of oil in box, wouldn't it go through throttle boddies causing smoke? I got about 1/2 20 ounce coke bottle full. Any ideas?

I am thinking it is something i did when doing oil pan, I ran/raced bike before oil pan, didnt have problem. I know this because I did oil pan and race filter at same time. There was not oil comming out when I put new filter in.

I have ran it in two gsxr 600's, and in two gsxr 1000's, and never had problem before. Just wondered. I am gunna play with it sunday, pull fairings, ect. My two 600's both have 30,000 plus miles, there is little blow by, but I have never had this problem before, that only reason I dont see rings doing, hope its something else, i dunno.

10 oz is a lot of oil. How many runs or miles did this happen in ?
Why was the motor dropped down ( your words ) Did you recently build motor ?
If you pull CC hose off at box while bike is running you should see some sign of excessive blow by if you rev motor'' if that indeed is the problem. Check that hose for kinks and be very thorough .
Whatever the cause while your at it run a line to valve cover and do away with line to box altogether !

Its more then likely coming from the breather tube! Its been happening to a lot of bikes... we just ren a hose up front of the bike from the breather in the back of the motor up front to a small filter that can be purchased from autozone, advance auto, etc.

I dropped motor down because when I got bike, the previous owner removed flies, in doing so he messed up threads on heads of bolt, some of the bolts had there head removed, but not threaded part. I was able to remove one of the with fish hook remover, but could not get other two, though they would slightly spin. I was afraid they would eventualy vibrate out, and into throttle body, into my motor. I pulled throttle shaft out, causing error code. i did this with engine in bike. I dropped motor down due to noise comming from secondary throttle motor, wanted make sure nothing wrong, so left bottom motor mount in, and dropped motor forward. I am wondering if had kink in anoth hose when putting it back up, causing pressure build up.

I was a track, cleaned box out, emptied oil, made one run then stopped, only cranked to put back in truck, and out of truck to garage. gunna see how much oil put out, from one run.

I will try it with hose off, see what happens, prob get sprayed in face, lol. I am going to take alot of time on sunday, carefully looking at everything, try to eliminate much as I can.

I was suposed to get dynoed next sunday, was going to pair mod, block offs. By running to valve cover, should cause prob right. I mean it will be closed system, separate from air side, correct?

If it was ring problem, would a compresson check show it?

Guess I really dont want it to be ring problem,

Highly unlikely its a ring problem... U should seriously do something with the crankcase breather tube..... did you check your throttlebodies from inside your airbox? is there an oily film on them? bike would smoke pretty good if your getting any blowbye! check the pair valve breather tube as well where it enters the airbox... just block it off and seal the airbox up.... but I'll bet ya its coming from the crankcase breather tube!!!

Theres a tube running down the left side of the bike your supposed to remove the end cap and drain the oil every service. found after 3 yrs of services and never drained it backed up into my airbox and was filling the airbox regularly. when i pulled the plug alot of oil ran out.

I think it is from crank case breather tube also. Just cant understand what causing it. Other people have cut pan, and theirs not doing it. guess need to get to looking at bike.

Been emtying tube, it putting too much oil out.

I didnt see any lines pinched. I didnt see anything visual.

I took line from front airbox/ valve cover box/pair line, and stuck it in bottle, tapped it up.

I took crank case tube and stuck it in bottle, tapped off.
I emptied drain bottle three times, make sure empty, wiped out entire air box.

I rode bike about 10 minutes, i got it warm/hot. I shited gears, reved up, run gears out a little. I even did a little take off. NO OIL, just tiny bit in tip of crankcase tube, not a whole drop.

I am pissed. ONly thing i didnt do was burn out, strap front on down. I dunno.

So, might the difference be that when the crankcase breather tube is located in the airbox there's a bit of "suck" going on at high rpm?

With it in a bottle there's just crankcase pressure and no "suck".

My bike always had a few drops of oil in the airbox after a sprint meeting, never in ordinary road use.
