went to track, anybody wanna give me so tips?
Went back to track, new drag pack, cycle concepts springs. Got full system tsukigi, bmc race filter, pc3 with generic map, 16/43 gearing.
I set my copression one turn from full hard, and rebound one turn from full hard. I had about 9.5 threads showing on dampening. Bike is lowered about 3/4 through trees and strapped, plus slammed in rear. I am running pump gas.
majority of passes are
60ft 1.52 1.53 1.46 1.46
330 3.94 3.95 3.89 3.88
1/8 5.98 5.99 5.94 5.94
mph 119.36 119.65 118.55 118.11
1/4 9.29 9.30 9.28 9.30
mph 146.63 146.58 145.40 144.42
THere are a couple messed up passes. I got to pay better attention to shift points, I think I started shifting at 11,200 towards end of night, and passes slowed slighty-9.34 to 9.39. I was previously shifting at 11,000. Depending on my shift points, it throughs a shift close to the end of track, just far enough back that I cant hold it and lit it hit rev limiter. I tried to increase compression-turned it back to 1/2 turn from hard and seemed like rear end started hopping more-broke loose-but I turned dampened spring 1/2 turn harder at same time. My rear tire is hitting my tail, making a spot about 2" diameter. SHould I try to increase stiffness? I need a dyno tune. I dont understand why I got better 60ft but doesnt show in 1/4mi. I am leaving with my foot up on peg, so I dont have to worry about missing shift. I really think I am hitting it WOT off line. I am real close to tree when getting off clutch, a i looking at it as I go by, and letting it go when I hit tree. Bike picks up off ground a little toward end of first gear. Any tips? I am looking for 9.0's

Guessing on my part .. Air in S.A. was , Density Altitude: 2761 feet
Relative Density: 92.17 %
Your weight around 180+ ..
Your hitting the under tail becuase of you weight , you will need a better shock or spring .. Don't keep running it that way or you will burn a hole in the under tail and eat the ECU wires .. Easy fix for now is add a steel plate where it hits ..
All and all your numbers are right on for the temps and weight of the bike ... All you need is a better 60 foot time to hit low low 9s ..My guess would be 9.10s with more seat time .. If you want 8s you will need to wait for better air and 60 footers in the 1.40 range .. Or you could add a 30 shot and make your own good air ..

Air was really ho! know it had slow me some. But my better times where when it was hot, ncooler in evening, my wife said wind was picking up more in evening though-guess I didnt notice. I got my weight by weight the bike on the scale at track, then pulling bike off, and weighed me. It showed 170-that is full leathers, gloves, helmet and boots. Bike is 500lbs-with about 1-2 gallons gas-by their scale. The way my license plate is mounted, has metal plate-that is where tire is hitting. I am trying to figure out whether to get old busa shock-99-07, so I can put spring on my zx14 shock. I can feel tire hitting, wondering if it messing my 60ft up. I am trying to get my 60ft down, wondered what gearing would do, maybe 44. That gear shift at end of track I think is hurting me, but by getting better 60ft, it will change location on track in which shift comes. Gunna try to get dyno tune soon. What are your thought on spring, will 99-07 spring on zx14 shock work better? I am trying to get low 1.4-high 1.3 60ft.

Make a mark with a perm black marker on the shock colar, Turn it 3 times clockwise...
What track & hows the prep???
You could have been gettin out of the groove...
What tire you have, how many passes or how old is it, how much air in it ???

tire is almost new, shinko hook-up with 16lbs air. Didnt have traction problem till end of night, had been hooking earlier. I think i might have been trying leave lil harder, I been working on slamming WOT off line. There was another bike having traction issues, but he was spraying off the line. Could been out of groove a little. I am keeping up with suspension settings, so I cen see what changes are helping.
I need to see what stock rear setting is, I dont think other guy changed it though. I went down one full turn. I will try it with two more turns added. I seen some good deals on busa shock, guess I try that spring. Thanks for thoughts.
When putting busa spring on, how should i set dampening/ rebound, compression?
I am doing better, faster each trip, deffinately need keep at seat time.

"When putting busa spring on, how should i set dampening/ rebound, compression?"
You will have to test and tune dampening, but start at the same point your 14 spring is set now. Keep rebound set to hard to better control the stiffer spring. Back off 2 turns on compression as you will not need to slow the bike from falling as much due to the stiiffer spring helping you with that.
Nice times by the way. You are progressing nicely. keep up the strong work.
