If I remember right the first dyno test by a magazine of a ZX 14 in 2006 was 174 horses which was like 8 more than a Gen 1 Busa on the same dyno..............so to gain 20 horses it would roughly have to be in the mid 190's.
Now if it was actually Supercharged.............would it be reasonable to expect 210 RWHP or more?

Also..........just speculating here, but there was some kind of switch on it...........could that be a switch to run with or without the Supercharger..............or if its not supercharged be some kind of full power and limited power modes with different mapping for each?

The mags dyno was different. stock 14's on SAE dyno's here in north Texas dyno between 160-165 depending on weather conditions. Screw the mags, based on what RG is sayingng, the numbers I predict I am sticking with. You aren't gona beat a zx10 that makes almost 200 to the tire with a bike that weighs 90lbs more with less..

Anyway, yeah Im disgruntled a bit since I own a 2006 and just bought a near new 09 zx14, and then threw $3K at it...
No matter, I will just send money to Jim and Chris over the winter, and show the new bike my old tail light and still have $$$ in my jeans.

DA does make a difference from what I was seeing last week during king of the track. The 5.80 index I entered had a lot if nitrous K8 busas, 14's and ZX10's-all stretched and capable of doing that on motor, but they were spraying to hit that, or make sure they hit it. I had no problem hitting that mark several times n/a, but the air is killing my mph(122 1/8TH mile). 95degrees at 500' elevation 9:30 pm, it is holding us back 1.5 tenths and 3-4mph compared to spring and fall avgs. Imagine how bad RG's 2012 is pigging out. I would say 3.5 tenths and 5mph.

I would like a blower due to it's midrange hits.I usually ride from 3 grand to 7 grand.I hit 7-10 grand once in a while but I would love more mid,

I agree ... My best ever at stock wheel base was a 5.89 and that was a fully piped, tuned, tricked out zx14 with good air !!! I think this new zx14 will do that without a pipe and tune and only need a strap and lowered to pull it off ..

I wonder if it lost any weight?
My biggest gripes with the bike were the multitude of screws and plastic pieces to assemble the body, and the weight of the bike.

I guess it's another zx10 story , Tell use it's fast and cool then remove its balls ... Hand us a slow bike with fucked up ECU so we have to spend more money to make it run .. Oh we can't sell you the bike because of the EPA or some shit like that .. Something is very fishy about this shit ..

Lee, shoot me those pics, I have seen the video of the 1/8 mile blast....still trying to figure out why it take 7 sec for that noise to stop.... that's a long time for an electronic coolant fan to continue to rotate.... I guess it has ceramic bearings installed..... (justoyz1@yahoo.com)
