"Kawi put this on the dash so Busa riders will get to memorize the shape of the front of the 14 at bike nights when the owner turns the key,so that when they see this silhouette in their rear view, they'll know not to dare try and run!!!!.....lmao" - Ricky G

Well this led readout pic gives away the fact the headlight arrangement has not changed....

I dont think that a 2x2 is going to happen unless kawasaki is going to change everything in the engine.

an 86mm bore doesnt leave much room with the current bore spacing. Using the existing bore spacing would only allow a 1 mm overbore at most..

a larger bore spacing means a new crankshaft and block .... also make the bike wider , and maybe even a change in the frame to get the throttle bodies in there.

a longer stroke would mean longer rods and a taller deck height . that seems easy enough ...

larger valves would be required to really improve flow , but than we are back to needing a larger bore for them to fit ....

If these changes do happen it mean that nothing from the earlier models can be used .....

Roy

Thanks Roy ..Just take a dump on everyones oatmeal .. Gee we were having fun till Roy showed up .. J/K

If it is 1429 cc it going to be 1 mill bore with a 2 mill stroke ..

1 x 2 would make sense .. allow for bigger valves , still have room for 2 mm over bore , and keep the same bore spacing . But I do hope they go with longer rods and a taller deck height...

adding 5mm to the block doesnt seem to change much.... except for changing spark plugs :-)

Roy

How about a 1X3..........a nice even 100CC increase going from 1352CC to 1452CC..............can even STILL call it a ZX 15

This suspense is killing me! Is the new 14 going to make our original 14's obsolete? Should I sell mine? What's it gonna look like? Will it be faster stock than a modded original 14? How much more for the new one? ? All these questions keep shuffling around in my head!!

The " little spy" only got one thing correct, they strapped the bike.
Someone is getting their leg pulled-we all know RG was at an 8th mile strip so I would forget that big oaragraph that started all of this and see if RG tells us more.

So today I did a photo shoot with the new 2012 ZX14 at a 1/8th mile track that had an elevation of 2900ft, and the new 14 still manage to go a tenth and 3 mph quicker than the old one at prior shoots. I guess Kawi just put the exclamation point on being the Fastest production bike!!!

2012 ZX14,Stock height,no strap,21 miles on the odometer, and 2900 ft altitude. They tell me this bike was only meant for pics! This might not be the finished version. I was told they are still tweaking!!!! The magazine editors will get final product in a month or so.
