I agree 100%, Lee. Right now the bikes are close enough that it comes down to the rider at the dragstrip, and then it is splitting hairs. When the new 14 comes out it will be the bike to beat, stock motor..

That is my hope Shane .. My little spys will not tell me anything , But by Not telling me anything they tell me a lot ..  I have never see so many tight lipped people in my life.. They are acting like it's D-Day WW II ...

I sure have beat alot of built busa's with a stock motor zx14 and with a fatman with no skills riding it ..
But don't all stock busa's run 315mph ...

MJ I cant argue with the last part of your post.........But I dont agree with the first part at all just look at the 1st Gen Busa's, they produced about 25 more horsepower than the big guns of the day and it was a huge sales success over the last 10-12 years I have seen 10 Busa's for every Zx 14 or Zx 12 and thats because of the reputation it created by raising the bar SO HIGH............EVERYONE wanted a Busa because it had that reputation as the baddest thing out there even though the Zx 12 made more horsepower and was almost as fast everyone wanted a Busa because of the badass reputation it created.
Suzuki sold a shitload of bikes cause they threw caution to the wind and built a badass machine that was leaps and bounds faster and more powerful than almost anything else (ZX 12 was close but lacked the torque).........they didnt worry about beureacrats they just built a machine horsepower junkies had to have and if Kawasaki wants to sell lots of bikes they need to get back to their roots and create the undisputably fastest meanest bike out there and say Fuck the beureacrats.............Congress cant agree on paying our damn bills or basically anything for that matter do you honestly think think those brainless morons in Congress are going to agree on more regulations limiting horsepower on a category of bikes that is probably one of the safest out there...........If France wants to throw a tantrum either tell em to FU#$ Off and let people import it via the blackmarket or else just use the ECU to restrict the horsepower of all the ZX 14R's going to France

its not the old bike look at the fairing around the lites and the turn sigs are flush with the pannels also hidden fairing screws.so who's the dummy now?

i'll be the dummy .. from that angle you can't see the screws because they are higher up..but i'll bet you the new bikes front end don't look like that mags pic when the new bikes released....

One huge difference in that pic from the bike now is that there is no separation with bodywork between the headlights.

I'd love to see kawi create a legend like the busa, but to create legends you have to be revolutionary, not evolutionary. The new 14 will be a nice step up just like the original was, but it won't be a class changer or legend-maker like the original busa, or even more recently the bmw. I think the new 14 IS going to be a very fun, very quick bike just like the current one...just a little faster ;-)

Drop the wave runner 300hp supercharged motor in it!!! I'd want one but couldn't handle it w/my small size. Still build it and they will come.

Only pics of the front makes me think they left the rear and seat the same. That's a shame IMHO. I was thinking this would be a good time to get back into riding but I'll need to see the '12 14 in person first.

My 06 is still enough to keep me riding. However 10% more torque would help in the warm weather in cool weather it would be maybe not needed. I didn't say too much but today its cool here just went for a ride the front wants to loft with 2nd gear torque surge. Thats stock gearing also. I hope ther's some new body work also.
