Told you so
Just want to put it out there that I told some guys on this site a while ago to give the new 10 a chance to get sorted on the 1/4 mile, they were saying that they ran better times with there stock 14's than RG and the boys can on the new 10,they were slaying me that I have only had a coulple of threads and basically don't no what a am talking about when I said I think the new 10 is fast,so Ricard Gadson ran a 8.94 and Teasley ran 8.88 at MIRock,so that compares good against the BM,the zx 10 is smokin fast, don't get me wrong I love my 14,but this litle 10 is still going to kick some butt.

+1 at 6'3" 235 any of the 1000's are 10 minute rides for me. I am glad to see Kawasaki has a 1000 that can hold it's own with the BMW. Too bad there are made for the smaller size humans lol :-)

i seen farley hall ride 8.90's 9.0's at baytown in hot air on a stock wheelbase zx14 ...ok so i'm not impressed by a 150lb lighter bike with more hp in good air running what he posted .. yeah lets go spend 13k to 25k on a liter bike

I think the only thing to look argument is the 2011 zx10 hit 8.80's and has trapped 163.
With slip on can,and stock wheelbase, fuel, gearing. No other bike on the planet with so few mods has done that or is capable, which really puts it far ahead of the BMW.

So is everyone going to jump ship to the 10r, me personally congrats to Kawasaki for getting the ZX-10r with the ZX-14 as being one of the fastest liter bikes out there. For me though I am like most on here 220 6'3" and I dont think I plan on getting any shorter. So I am satisfied with my ZX-14 and will smile every time I see a ZX-10. Atleast it isn't a BMW or GSXR its a Kaw and it is faster than the BMX or BMW LOL!!!!! I knew that Kawasaki wasn't going to lay down and let a BMW take the front seat. LOL

I wonder when Honda will do something with the 1000, you never know what any of them will make next. I am Glad BMW built a 1000 that has pissed of a lot of other brands. Now Kaw has seen the light....who is next??????????? I wish they could give them more leg room :-)

Currently it’s is set up in basic SuperSport trim with stock wheelbase, has a Brock’s Performance slip-on, Bazzaz EFI, clutch mods, 20 pounds of ballast as well as being lowered and geared for 1/4 mile racing. It does not have any of the advanced “SuperSport” mods like ceramic bearings, 5-angle valve job, increased compression or adjusted cam timing; the engine is still all stock.
Richard brought the bike to pair of 8.94 elapsed times but Teasley made the hot lap of 8.88 at 159 mph. To go 8.88 with a slip on pipe and bolt-on parts is amazing,” said Gadson. “Brock was involved with this bike from the beginning and will be instrumental in its development. We came up with the clutch package together and he is working on a full exhaust system that he thinks will get another 6-7 horsepower out of the engine. We think this new ZX-10R is going to be really fast. We foresee running a ZX-10R in Real Street.”
