my 14 is smoking
my 14 started smoking a little last month just a little every time i stoped @ a light i would bleep the throttle & a little puff would come out only once, after that it would not smoke. know every time i get into the throttle a lot when i come to a stop and bleep the throttle it throws a pretty big puff of smoke all the time know. it comes and goes, i rode to Oklahoma last week and it wasn't smoking, anyone have any thoughts?

i hope thats it, i noticed today on start up it spit out lil specs of oil from dump pipe on to driveway,

trust me .. 1 turbo man to another .. if it was a piston . there be 1 hell of a oil spill from the breather tube

OKC, Nice ride up but on Sunday had to put it in trailer was thunderstorming and real windy & I lost my damn rain sock

found the problem, i noticed my scavenger pump was sounding weird like it was not moving oil thru turbo right, i installed a new pump and no more smoke!!, i hope this one lasts a wile, i've herd they dont last long some times..

How many miles did you get out of the first pump? Heat kills them I've heard.

I love the unit, but it was used so know i gatta replace the oil seals on turbo it started smoking on me randomly again...
the bike on 5lb boost makes 218rwhp with a not so good map, motor is all stock, i have to get it remap'd soon, and i have to put an external gate on it its creeping on me to like 9lb wen i get of the throttle after high rpm WOT runs

hmm, 218 seems a little low. I was hoping for 250-260 on 6 pounds, I wonder if I am being unrealistic. I hear good things about that size turbo as far as how quick it spools and so forth. My kit will have an external wastegate so I am hoping to avoid creep

Ok just got some extra monies to fix bike, so I ride it to my mechanic and is not smoking no more If it were the turbo it would constantly smoke rite? I rode it for a good 20 miles and nothing? I pulled the plugs and they were oily, noticed the inside spark plug gasket on cylinder 3&4 were pinched outside the valve cover holes and it was a pain to take the plugs out because of seal was out so much is there any way this is wy it's smoking randomly oil going in spark plug hole? I ordered a new valve cover seal & the small spark plug seals and ganna have them reinstalled what y'all think?

there is a drain hole in the bottom of the spark plug hole that let's water and oil drain out the front of the head, if the gaskets were pushed out. It would let oil run through these holes and drain out the front of the motor. Probably hating something hot on your turbo? I have never seen one of these gaskets pushed out. But then I'm not a turbo guy. One thing to check the factory crankcase breathing hose goes into the air box, did they remove this hose and plug the box, if they didn't, that would build boost in the crankcase and pushed the gaskets out. if they did, what did they do with the breather hose? because a turbo is going to push a lot of air pass the rings and that extra pressure needs a good vent.

Yes the crank case is not linked to the air box any more, the box was plugged and we put a little filter on the crank case breather. The air box is clean, it has to be oil getting in combustion chamber some where?

I've got a turbo ZRX and mine smokes from time to time.....never too much & never long but it happens.
I checked the major stuff & all is well, just figured some oil is seeping by the seal 'cause it's always on start-up & only happens like once out of every 25 rides. I dunno but all seems fine.
What brand of pump are you using?
