VHT ?

do tracks water down their vht to make it go farther? Should it be sprayed without cutting it? DRW always has some traction issues with bikes, could they be diluting it?

Looks like it is mostly Isopropyl Alcohol , so maybe they cut it with more Isopropyl Alcohol

I can remember one time our track owner had caught his supplier diluting the VHT with methanol. Shit wasn't working at all, but didnt take him long to find out and get a new supplier.

I went up to the line guy @ DRW and complained about the traction one day, he said come back in two weeks they are going to have a ProMod race and they will put the good glue down then. It's really all about the money! They said it cost $900 to spray the track one time. The track owner has to estimate how much money he's gonna make off a particular race. I'm sure if you requested and paid for the cost of the better glue he would do it. I've been to Kennedale on ProMod night and walk up to the starting line and after about three steps it would almost pull my shoe off! I asked the starting line guy and said this is better glue, he said no it's the same stuff LOL. I noticed at the DRW at one race that when I got there at 11 o'clock in the morning the track was sticky but by three o'clock you could hardly fill the glue on your shoe this could be from a high alcohol content.

at our local track , they used methanol to cut it , which is ok ... except they used fuel with top lube in it :-(

they did figure it out after a while ... now the track hooks great

SAR uses a Sunoco glue in the winter .. I CALL IT GLUE because you have hell even with water on the tire doing a burn out .. and then it throws this spider web stringy thingy shit all over you and bike ..then trying to get that shit off is another story.. but you can't say you won't hook ..

Try different parts of the track next time...Like the left car tire track of the left lane & left track of the right lane...

Guys make sure you go look at the track throughout the night to see how chewed up its gettin, then you'll see what i mean about the different parts of the track at launch...

Buy your own VHT and brush it on your rear tire, thats what alot of street racers do...lol
