The quickest BMW on the planet with all the tricks in the book, with a modded head and argueably the lightest and best pro Jockey around is only a tenth quicker then an un-touched heavy ZX14 with a rider at least 35lbs heavier.

It looks like reality just caught up with the hype.

+1 .. Put JT on that zx14 and it will be so close to that BMW it will not even be funny .. I have said all along that the two bikes with the same mods will be within a 10th of each other ... Maybe dead even with each other.. Sure the BMW will MPH more but ET wins races not MPH ..

not even close! We had to put at least 40% less gas to run the MR12.

You have that clutch set up so good i believe i would not mess with the gearing unless you have the clutch completely figured out.
Not saying you don't and if you have then you will definitely go quicker and faster with more gear, and the clutch tune up as good with the new gear as it is now.......

Only one and possibly 2 bmw's and only with flyweights are kicking butt. But all the rest of the "true stock" motors around the country are lost in the crowd . Why? Becuase they are'nt doing anything special.

DA doesn't play that big of a roll in the ET. Its the actual elevation that's the killer for us. It hurts us some. But from 5500' DA to 9000' I don't even drop a .1
