MTC GENII or Hayes Convertable
Is anyone on here using either? I am thinking of switching to one or the other and feedback would be good.

I got the MTC gen2 on my 14 and to me I think is the best clutch out there! but just to let you know the gen2 wont make you faster but it's very consistent!

I am running the Hayes in both bikes,my 06 has the earlier 3 arm convertible that took sometime dialing in ,but once i set the stack height where it needs to be the thing is deadly, and i mean deadly consistent. 1.28's on a little 2mil motor . The bike is actually getting a little boring to run,but i like to ride swb anyway so its just my opinion ..............

How hard was it to get dialed in where you were'nt burning cluthces up every pass? I know that both will take SOME tuning but I am looking for something consistant that will get me 50 plus passes on a single clutch.

No it still works but all the fastest guys at the track are running the GENII and cutting low 1.20's and its not a slider so it can be ridden

Ill send you the spec's and it never burnt any clutches !
But i will tell you the spec's ( MOST IMPORTANTLY) the air gap isn't even remotely close in the info sheet you get with it or the Gen2,and if someone tells you different they got damn lucky.
I run both and if its a concern to have the option to ride the bike more then just a 1/4 mile then go Hayes.
Im no faster with either one,but when you set them both up close enough to ride them back smoothly
the Gen2 will give up et to the Hayes !

Watchout for rod bolt clearance on the Hayes basket. Dinged mine and friends up pretty good.
luckly it didn't destory the motor. I sent it back to Tim and had it machined down. not sure if he has corrected the problem with the new ones he is selling.
I have Falcon rods my buddy has Carrillo Rods
