"Real Street" Clutch Setup??

What combination of clutch springs and spacers will hold 300 hp on a 14?? I know they can't use lock ups in Real Street, so I am real curious.

I went to Brock's site...I saw a kit with heavy springs and .280 spacers. Is that the ticket?

I was going to use 5 heavy springs and the Cycle Logic lock up, but if there is a more simple route I'd rather use it. I don't need to slip the clutch for LSR...it just needs to hold.

Shane

Adams has a heavy spring set-up that will hold. If you call them ask to speak to Dale.

The adams real street clutch setup with spring and thick spacer is around 82psi per spring/spacer. most heavy springs were around "50" if i recall correctly. I have it all writen down somewhere.

How much is the Adams kit? I already have the lock up, but if I can do it cheaper with less moving parts, that is a plus.

I have an adam's set that I used for about a month. I think they are like $45 plus shipping. The adam's setup uses more spacer than the brock's. The springs are shorter and appear to be heavier also. I'll post some pics when I get home. I have both the adam's and brocks true street setups

x2
heavy springs get old fast if you ride in traffic, or parades.
there is a reason they outlaw them in certain classes.

My concern is that my motor will be making a lot of power well before those short arms do anything. Stock motor =176 hp....my motor=245 hp...hopefully.

I already have a CL lock up here...just looking for the most simple solution. If I use the lock up any more I am having buttons put in the pressure plate.

It held Jesses at 315 HP on the dyno no problems ..It holds Roys 1530 motor with ease ...You don't need buttons on the clutch hat unless you just want to spend money ..

Can't hurt and that would be cheaper than trying new springs. I think the upgrade kit is like 29.99 from cycle-logic.

Good luck 60 footing with 5 HD springs ... At most i would use is 3 HD springs or 3 brocks spacers .. With 5 HD springs it's going to be light switch , either on or off with no inbetween .. But what the hell do i know ..

LSR bike...not looking to "60 foot". Besides, I have done low 1.5's on 5 heavy springs...and that is more than OK for LSR.

I'll argue with that one... I cut low 1.4's consistently with 5 heavy springs and my heavy shock spring that everyone also said wouldn't work (with very very little seat time ) . The clutch still slides out fine with them. You just can't be a pansy and have dainty little hands. I will say that running the springs and spacers together would be a terrible Idea lol.
