any buddy have the carbon akuma helemt
Has any one tried or atleast looked at an akuma helmet? I'm wondering how they are. I need a new helmet.

Nice helmets...they're local here in San Antonio....some of the best racers use them....

Ya that's the funny thing NHRA says your helmet must be snell2005 right now and I think next yr snell 2010 which the Akuma helmets are not as far as I know. lot's of good helmets out there that really if the tracks check can't be used

i tried it. loved everything but the fit. LOL i guess i have a tall head or something, kinda felt like my chin was exposed all the time.
BUT!! my budy got one, and loves it. its almost feels like a baseball cap in your hands, comes with 2 shields, the photo-chromatic works great and gets pretty dark and almost perfectly clear inside (haven't seen it outside at night yet)
i really wish it fit me better, i'd have one..... and they also sized a little small IMO.

Bentley check out the Shark rsr2, I have one and its very light and comfortable. Its not snell rated though, its ECE2205 which is a European rating.
