My point is JT and Ricky are pros .. Ricky beats JT and JT beats Ricky .. Both are way skilled .. Ricky just like JT can jump on any bike and with just a few runs run crazy numbers that us AVG joes just can't pull off in a few runs ..So if Ricky can only muster a 9.17 on the new zx10 it tells me it not all that fast ..So far we have seen nothing to tell us it's any different ...I would like to see the zx10 kick the snot out of the beemer but i just don't think it is going to happen ..If you remember the 08 zx10 was to be a bag of chip and then some , well we all saw that it wasn't and all the hype died off quickly ..Will the new zx10 fade away quickly also ?

ok but the way i see it rickey is a has been .. has he won any championships since 2002 . JT is the shitt right now in a few years there be another shit .. but in real life {not fantasyland} in the hands of the guys that buy motorcycles everything {all brands} is fast .. well maybe except Honda .. And every year the rags have honda in the top of the ratings as a race bike.
shit if i was to judge bikes off what the pro's do ..then get me a VROD because them Vance AND Hine bikes have laid down the law

Smokin, this pass sunday, Ricky went like a 1.59 125.26 153.35
The BMW went 1.64 123.92 155.19
My thing is that BMW MPH , MPH shows HP on the other end??? Time will tell, I want to see the SAME mods & same riders, same 60's & let the chips fall where they may>..

Smokin14,I have been following some of your comments on the new 10r for a while now,when I posted a while back that we gave some BM's a hiding here in South Africa with the new 10r (no restrictions on our models)you also made a snotty remark.Let me tell you we raced 2 Busa's ,new and old and a 08 zx10 this weekend with my zx 14 and the new 10r ,my 14 is fast,but trust me the new 10r beats me easly,I drilled the busas and o8 10r,but the new 10r is much faster up to 300km/h limiter.I know RG personaly when my son raced with and against him,trust me if he tells you its the real deal, it is,that new 10r with full pipe no restrictions will also run in the high 8 seconds,Brocks BM will kill all BM's out there,my point I am trying to make is just give the bike a chance,the 14 wasnt great either in the beginning.

You guys left out that JT went a 9.09 the same day to Rickey's 9.19. From what they are saying the bike just had slip-ons. JT only had a 1.60 60' on that run at 153.60 mph.

Well i guess you could see that as snotty .. Well now we have seen some pro ride it and it runs 9.17 @ 153 .. The US model resticted is not all that .. You are lucky you to have a unresticted ZX10 .. You have the bike that we should have got here in the USA ..
I beg to differ with you that the zx14 wasn't great from the start .. It was a hit from day one , It killed the gen 1 busa with ease . In 06 my zx14 at stock wheel base on pump gas with flys in place ran 9.18 .. So 5 years later a US zx10 goes 9.17 with a pro ? Sorry but that doesn't show me much .. We would have to ask Ricky if he was using race fuel but i'm sure he was .. It was lowered and strapped and most likely had a gear of some kind .. We know the new ZX10 has a really good head pipe and only needs a slip on to make power ..So the only thing left it to derestict the bike.. I hope unresticting the bike makes it as fast as the BMW or faster .. At this point i just don't see it , i hope i'm wrong ..

Some guys need to do a little math on this one.
No one, and I mean no one has run a 9.09 and an 1/8th mile mph of 128 with ANY swb bike with stock motor, slip on and MR12.
supersport bikes with full header systems,headwork,shock,and plenty of R&D run avg 9.0 and 8.9's and usually with low 1.5 short times. This bike RG and JT rode allegedly only had slip on ,bazzaz,MR12,made 172hp on pump gas. The bike is still in restricted mode.

Full header=4hp
Ohlins shock=better short times

Don't leave out the bike had the flys removed ....That little bit of info is key .. Ricky also said a 7 HP when he adds the ECU with the reflash ..where did you get 18 HP for the ecu and reflash when Ricky said 7 ?

It may .. I would like to see Brock get one and do the hole Brocked out package and see what happens ..I read on his Face book page that he was going to do just that as soon as he gets his hands on one ..

What needs to happen to answer all questions is Brock to trick out a zx10 just like his BMW ..Put JT on both bikes , same day , same track and duke it out ... Let the chips fall where they may ..

Smokin, I was refering to the 18-20hp being seen by de-restricting the computer thru a flash from Guhl .But that could be with a slip on included?
Eithet way, no bike with those few mods and a 1.60 short time puts down those numbers at the track. A Brocked out 10,like you said, will answer the question.

Brock/BMW won't ever let the s1000 have a fair race against anything. They're going to ride their factory freak cash cow as long as possible. Brock makes a hell of a pipe, but he's going above and beyond to push this bmw piece of shit like it's the fastest bike out there when It remains to be slow in the hands of anyone but the best of the best. There's a reason why you never see one at the track run decent numbers.
BMW is pumping up their product more than honda in the 70's and 80's and guess what... the ones that the consumers get perform just like the hondas did back in the day... Like shit

A friend of mine just bought a BMW stone stock out of the box and it ran a 10.50@144. He has ridden his SWB gsxr1000 to a 9.98@142 so I'm sure he is kinda disappointed because he bought in to the fastest bike around thing as well.

The stock ecu retards timing from about 8k rpm..... the flashed one doesn't..... Thats why the bike stops pulling at 153mph despite the 50lb weight differerance between rickey and jt.
This bike is going to go eights with the ecu flash with both RG and JT on board...
