Nos and octane

New to the nos game. What octane pump gas are people running. Without nos and 87 I was 60 footing 1.45s with 91 my 60s are 1.55. Not planning on shooting nos until 2nd. My current setup is 6 over lowered dyno tune progressive controller airshifter pc3 strap Brock's ti sidewinder. Launching at 6500. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't think your losing .1 just from going from 87 to 91 octane. There are too many factors. If you thunk your bike is running that bad on 91, go get it tuned for 91.

Use the highest octane pump gas you can get. Spray in 1st gear. Change your gearing, if needed, to make it controlable.

was thinking of doing that using the controller and start at 10% at 8000 over 2.5 seconds

It depends on the size shot you are using. If you are shoting a 40-50 shot or smaller, I would just change gear ratio and shot the hold thing off the line, or start at 50% and ramp to 100% over .5 sec. so that the fuel you added (Edit: with the power commander for the nitrous) doesn't bog the bike(which is what is most likely hurting your 60') If it is a large shot, that's a different story.

I also say no way are you losing any 60 ft from going from 87 to 91. something else is going on.
