question about suspension link(knuckle) removal
Whats up guys, Last year I must have hit something because I was changing my exhaust the other day and noticed a chunk missing out of the link.. Plus it is cracked now... Anyway, when I change that, do I have to support the center of the bike? I have it on the rear stand now, but was just curious....

You need to support the bike. It's the same as putting lowering links on.
____________
Best: 60ft 1.351 1/8 5.68 mph 123.98 1/4
8.89 mph 151.32

You can support it where the centerstand tangs are, depending on what kind of jack you have. I have used a floor jack and block of wood to support it there.
You can also flip the footpegs over and set them down on a pair of jackstands.

right on guys, I did the trick with the jack stands and flipped the foot pegs upside down, it worked out great, and did it by myself....

freaking geniuses. I need to adjust my rear shock "dog bones". I have vortex rearsets with pegs that do not flip so they should hold the bike on a couple stands while I work on the rear bones I think.
