Brute horsepower dyon test in Florida

Anybody know what's going on at this show! It's supposed to go Monday through Saturday since it's sponsored by BMW I'm sure Brock will be there. Anybody know who's going to represent Kawasaki? Smokin, you're probably closer than anybody have you heard anything.

I was there yesterday and put my 07 ZX14 on the dyno. 1st place was a gixer with 217hp 2&3rd were also gixers but those two were around 181. I got on and did 191.7hp on 93 octane. That was good enough for 2nd. I came back later and a guy running a street/strip Busa with extended arm, nitrous although he said he wasn't using it and really didn't appear to be made 199hp. That put me in 3rd. I probably could have matched that with the right fuel which he appeared to be using from the grey color of his exhaust but I wasn't in the mood to stay any longer and it was supposed to rain today which it is and my bike is strictly a street bike. I guess we will have to wait for Saturday to see how it shakes out.
My motor was done by Sal at Ace performance and only has porting, shaved head for 93 octane and degreed cams so I was quite happy with the results.

Thanks guys for the response, I really wanted to see if Brocks was bringing a BMW? And if anybody would be showing up with a new ZX10? Somebody said RG got a new one and I know he goes down there. I guess the real question is if anybody shows would it be apples for apples! Saturday will be the superbike race and then we'll have a better ideal about what's going on.

NICE BOB!!!

Glad to see you're enjoying your Stage 1 ZX-14 up there in Daytona.

191+rwhp on pump is sweet, what were the torque numbers like? Any idea what the stock motor piped and tuned 14's were making on the same dyno, same day?

Mike, they didn't hook the bikes up for torque readings. I didn't hang around to see who else was running. I wanted to go ride the Ducati Diavel but couldn't find Ducati where they usually are.

I talked to a friend who told me I kept the number 3 spot till the end. Not bad for just a stage 1 from Ace Performance! I might have to think about stage 2 for next year.

Nice. Fuuny thing is that your bike is tuned for REAL WORLD performance, not big dyno numbers. I'm sure if you leaned it out and ACE set-up the cams for peak HP, you'd see 200+rwhp on PUMP gas with the stock cams, stock throttle bodies, and STAGE 1 ACE head.

But you know Sal at ACE... He doesn't build dyno queens, he only puts out the real deal..

Just got some info on what some of the Piped/Tuned ZX-14's were making on that dyno...

174-175rwhp

That's approx. a 17-18rwhp gain with your Stage 1 ACE head and degreed stock cams with a real safe tune. Not too shabby!!!

If you had some race fuel, you would have been making that 207rwhp GSX-R sweat bullets!
