BMW circus what a show ,zx rider must attend. I just attended the Bm circus on the Bm forum,wow those guys are realy pissed off because Garth beat the all mighty BM 1000. All sorts off excuses his bike is modded etc,so what, this BM costs much more,so please all our ZX14 riders do not beat a Bm for that is not possible or even a Busa .
There is always going to be a new kid on the block that is going to be faster,the BM is not invincable.

That is so common across all brands and most forums.
A boatload of $$$ , lightweight jockey and you too can be faster than the next guy.
Garth's ZX-10 is not exactly stock and the rider looked pretty skinny. The Zx-10 looked like a slug on the lower end of the powerband but...the top end was impressive for sure!
All good for the consumer and looking forward to the next new player ...

dollar for dollar the bmw is not big of a deal i looked at one ar our bmw dealer here it was about 17k otd so i take a zx14 or busa put 17k into it and how fast would it be ? i got a brand new 09 monster otd for 8400 thats a lot of mods thats my adams head and 2mm overbore and 100 shot with tons left over i just didnt see the bmw as a smart choice

These 2 are crazy stupid doing something like this dressed like that, but put that topic aside and this is a video that makes me smile. Damn, I love Kawasaki. They'll be dead one day racing like that, but at least I'll have videos to watch until then.

Garth's bike is geared -1 on the rear for more top end speed, so yeah it has no low end power. He won the first 9/10 race from a first gear start, then to make the beemer guys happy, they ran a 2nd gear race starting at 30mph, which the beemer run by a mile, since the 10 was geared high and couldn't get up into its power range quickly.

I don't see the excuses? looked like both bikes aren't stock anyway. Who cares about BMW anyway. How many years did it take them to catch up n make something comparable. Then to top it off it's inline anyways.lol whoopie! The class warfare is just silly. But then I guess it satisfies the brain-dead masses. Now the brain surgeon down the street can impress everyone with how much money he can spend needlessly on nothing with motorcycles as well as his crappy Audi cars that sit in his garage and rot. Snooooore....

Yeah right... good thing that s1000rr doesn't also have far superior suspension, brakes,
comes factory equipped with a quickshifter, far lighter oem wheels etc.
So, on a desert f*ckin highway that rider on that zx10 was faster... the first time out of two
runs... against the other guy in shorts and flip flops ____________

It was pretty much apples to apples anyway. Both had slipons, both had power commanders, really the only thing that the 10 had over the 1000 was minus one on the rear sprocket and lighter wheels.

Not really. The 10R was slammed, windscreen'd and had a busa fender. That alone is worth 3+mph over the BMW. 3mph = 9-10rwhp if you did it with HP instead of Aero mods.
Pump gas BMW vs Race gas ZX10R
Stock wheel BMW vs Race wheel 10R
And the list goes on and on...
Oh and the rider on the ZX10R is an absolute MONSTER. Garth's jockey is without a doubt a world-class LSR rider. No Joke.

I'm curious what can be done to a BMW or or 2011 ZX 10 to make them faster............those bikes are in such a high state of tune stock VS bikes like ZX 14 or Busa that i'm curious how much horsepower there is to be gained and what could be done to reliably gain horsepower?

Garth said it had 93 octane in it that day. The BMW wheels are already lighter than all the other stock wheels.

I would think the minus one tooth on the Kaw really hurt it doing roll on's. Good for more top end but the way they were playing...add one on the ZX-10 and do this roll on in any gear again.
