Maybe my small amount is different than others but I am comparing mine to a pro street bike. I am running 20 psi on the boost controller so actual wastegate boost may be slightly lower.
No I completely understated. The bike is a beast no doubt so when are you gonna put some power to it lol
Honestly I don't think I will run any more boost than what I am, I mean I have been 190+ on 20lbs. I need to work on bringing it in as early as possible rather than just raising the boost.
Very good answer. When I had my turbo bike I had to take power out of it for the track it was just to much at the 60"WB I made my quickest passes on 7-10 psi

I have a ams-500 and cant find a decent place to mount it. Stu
I have it mounted under my catalyst seat. I have a tiger tail which helped with room.
How much boost are you running in first gear at the track?

How can he not be running boost in first gear?
Controller can not overide what the spring is rated for in the wastegate.

You are right he has to leave on spring pressure at least.
I'm courious about the oil filter setup.
Who makes that relocator?
I assume no cooler with a adams pan, right?

Jones Performance makes that relocator and yes I don't run an oil cooler with the Adams pan.

This will be my last post about this bike but I could not resist. First of all as most of you know I sold my bike at the Mfg. Cup race this weekend. Chris Jones was at the track just 4 days having what I would call a major back surgery and was in a neck brace. He really should not have even been out of bed but Chris honestly spent over an hour with the new owner going over the bike. Chris really stands behind what he does! This guy gave Chris no money, he was not a customer of his he just simply purchased a Jones Performance bike from me and Chris acted as though he was there to help the new owner out. I just wanted to say thanks Chris and keep it up!!!!! Unfortunatley the motorcycle drag industry IMO is filled with TONS of shady dudes but Chris continues to go above and beyond for his customers.

Because on c02 you can run no spring in the gate and use psi to control it all. If you want no boost you will get NO boost with a. AMS1k. Pretty bad ass tool.

Thanks Chad and all others for the positive comentary. I take extreme measures to keep people happy with my products and services. Mainly because I work for a living and value a dollar just as everyone else does. I have been in business since 1998, but I was working on bikes lone before then. My first bike was a Yamaha RZ350 Kenny Roberts Replica. I bet the majority of todays sportbike riders have no clue what a RZ350 is. I still have two of them btw. I began playing with turbo bikes back in 1992 w/ a gsxr1100 and a GS1150. I have managed to keep my nose clean over the years by providing services/products that have been throughly tested before they are promoted. As we all know the internet is a great tool, however one unhappy or malicious customer/individual can easily drag your name through the mud without good reason. That is why I avoid internet drama and bouts about who has the best products. Your actions and services can speak for you if you are abide by good ethic and principals. In fact, the gentleman that purchased your bike (chads zx14 turbo) has called me several times in the last few months about a zx14 turbo. However, he had a bad taste left in his mouth by a big name company that had yet to provide him with what was promised on a previous build. I had already promised him the results he got on your for his first pass. And hell, your bike was by no means set up for a 260 rider. That guy was thrilled like a 5 year old at Christmas day. His buddy Jeff Peck turned a 8.08@190 on his zx14 turbo at that a event on a bike I worked over three years ago. Jeff is 200 lbs, and that bike has a bone stock motor w/ the exception of hd valve springs and a thicker head gasket. That is a true testimony of an efficient turbo system. Once again, Thanks. Sincerely, Chris Jones.

Well guys, I must say I too am extremely happy with everything Chris has done for me. I would recommend him to anyone who has had a bad experience. It was classy of Chris not to mention the guy who screwed my buddy to tears and I will leave that alone. Chris came out to help deliver a bike he built and in the process checked on me and he asked for nothing. Not one cent! Move over Brock, there is someone else like you that offers great service after the sale, Chris the man Jones! I approve of this message.

Myself i will never do another turbo bike , But when someone asks me where to get a turbo done i tell them there is only one guy ... Chris Jones ..
