dang what's your secret? I've been hitting the gym hard for the past 2.5 months now, and I'm not losing much weight at all! I am in noticeably better conditioning, but I need to lose weight.

to be truthfully 85 to 90 % percent is dedication to what your eating. 10 % is working out. No pop at all, and 5 smaller meals a day about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs apart. a typical day looks like this for me
5:30 am bowl of ceral or oatmeal and a bannana or apple or maybe a fiber one bar.
9:00 am yorgut with string cheese and some almonds
11:30 usally left overs from dinner night before, if there where no left overs a protein shake or slim fast
1:30 apple or bannan, some kind of bar
5:30 what ever we are having for dinner just keep the portion where it should be, instead of the 16 oz steak I use to eat now it's 6 to 9 oz. etc.
Run every other day and workout on days I don't run.
Eat what ever I want all day long one day a week and don't feel bad about it. So really no secret and I used no weight loss supplements either.
BINGO!!!!!! I weighed 200 and now I weigh 135lb from the same diet!!!!

how tall are you?
5'8" which target weight for me is 145 lbeeeezzz

Thats funny as hell but very true. I have some pictures of me when I was that fat. My wife got pregnant and I think I carried the baby with her.

I'm 6'1 and usually weigh in at 170 lbs. in shorts (180-ish suited up).

This year I'll try to push it a bit harder and drop to 165 lbs. and stay there throughout the season.

No secrets here either- no carbs whatsoever! Breads, pastas, pizzas... even bananas
are a no-no.
No sugars! If Splenda and such can't substitute it, I won't have it.
Small meals somewhat often and skipping meals (mostly dinner) when bearable.
Try to avoid anything fried too. Red meet just every now and then.
If soup and salad can't fill me up,it's time to occupy my attention with something
else other than eating.

I hit the gym often but only do cardio and agility stuff, never free weights.
Going for lean and not bulky.
Swimming for about 1 hour once or twice a week has proven to be a huge
as far as calorie burning and also great for cardio.

I'm 28 and I know if it's a fight now, it will not be any easier in 5-10 years to keep
the weight off.
