Never thought I would see the day

When I hit 179 in gym shorts! But I did today. started at 216. it took dedication and hard work but it's worth it I feel so much better. never tired anymore and sleep way better. still droping 1 to 1.4 lbs a week. I think I can hit 170 by april. Bike should fly this yr! I turn 40 this yr in Aug and told myself I would be in better shape when I do then when I turned 30.

dang what's your secret? I've been hitting the gym hard for the past 2.5 months now, and I'm not losing much weight at all! I am in noticeably better conditioning, but I need to lose weight.

Great job!!! I'm also down in to the 178-180 range on the scales. I started at 205-210. The goal for me is 159lbs. I'm hoping to drop about 10 lbs in the next couple weeks to go to a race in Houston

to be truthfully 85 to 90 % percent is dedication to what your eating. 10 % is working out. No pop at all, and 5 smaller meals a day about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs apart. a typical day looks like this for me
5:30 am bowl of ceral or oatmeal and a bannana or apple or maybe a fiber one bar.
9:00 am yorgut with string cheese and some almonds
11:30 usally left overs from dinner night before, if there where no left overs a protein shake or slim fast
1:30 apple or bannan, some kind of bar
5:30 what ever we are having for dinner just keep the portion where it should be, instead of the 16 oz steak I use to eat now it's 6 to 9 oz. etc.
Run every other day and workout on days I don't run.
Eat what ever I want all day long one day a week and don't feel bad about it. So really no secret and I used no weight loss supplements either.

Nice! Congrats!!

I have done the no soda thing for a month now. (well kinda.. i have 1 rockstar in the morning and thats it for the entore day). I was at 265, now with my water comsumption and smaller meal portions i am down to 238.5.
Now if i can just get motivated to get my self to a gym or something to the alternative. LOL

We know the BST's suppose to make a big diffenece due to rolling weight, I wish we can see a same day run Like Smokin running, & then immedialty swap to the BST's to see the same day actual difference.... Maybe Brock will send some to Smokin ??? I'm trying for U Lee..

Congrats! I'm turning 40 this year too and have been hitting the gym hard. Only dropped about 4 lbs in the last 2 months but have gained muscle everywhere and lost about 2" off the waist line. Holding firm at about 165lbs.

Congrats on the weight loss. I tried getting down to 200 from 225, got down to 205 but I was weaker. I like to lift heavy weights and dropped too much muscle. I'm currently at 218. I need to take it slow down to 210, I want to keep my squats at 405 at least . I like your eating plan, very sensible.
