Missing the bike
So, i am currently deployed in Bahrain. only been here for about 3 months and still have 3 to go. Doesn't seem like much is going on, but I sure do miss my bike, and being able to ride whenever I want. All I can do is think about the things I want to do with the bike when i get home. Will i lower it? Paint it? I don't know. I do know that I have to take the ERC when I get back. There are a few bikes out here, mostly locals. When I hear them go by I stop what I'm doing and listen to engines whine. I am probably on BL as much if not more than I am on the maintinance computer. Can't wait to get back home, get the coarse and start riding again. Sorry for typing about nothing. No one here cares about bikes like i do. They get tired of hearing me talk. Thanks.

I have been deployed several times myself. when I did have "down time" I did think a bit about riding. What really sucks is not being able to ride for extended periods (9-15 months for me) and then being told that I have to take an MSF course before being allowed to ride at all. Especially not being allowed to ride on EML (mid-tour leave).

I think I may get lucky and get my ERC as soon as I get back state side. I am pretty good friends with the motorcycle coordinator.
