Do trolls really all ride V-maxes, or just on this site?
300 miles is not touring. 300 miles is a gentle day ride. 3,000 miles - including a couple of 750 mile days - is touring, and a bone stock 14 will do that beautifully.

Y-y-y-e-e-s-s, I suppose. I don't think the wife would have been quite so comfortable on it in that trim, though. Put the standard suspension and bodywork back on it, and it would have done the job just as well. ... woulda looked ugly, but ... [grin]

i love these rookies .. you want to bring your tour bike over to race my streetbike 1/4 mile for some cash ..

HEY and the MAX is stock height and wheelbase and ridden every week on the twisty back roads in the mountains in our area NOT a bunch of track only trailer queens

I ride mine everyday to work and it is lowered and a little longer but it is just as as much street bike as any other street bike you will see And ya I can turn the bike as well its got a street pipe and bit a Sidewinder. And will hammer the shit out of a v Max all damn day and get 40+ MPG doing It...

+1, hell I had to take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Sportbike Riders Course last Thursday just so I can ride on base. It was funny to see a damn near 66" ZX-14 running up on a liter bike.

Well there you go then. Seeing as I'm not paying for your trip and you're not paying for mine, and especially seeing as I'm not worthy, I guess it's not going to happen. That's a shame, because I'd really love to ship myself and my bike half way around the world to pay you a modest sum of money because I have a stock ZX14 and you have a 'streetbike', and at a guess, you have some drag race experience and I don't. It's a contest I'd be very lucky to win. Take our two bikes to a roadrace course - any one - and I think the advantage would flow the other way.
