Heat.... I know.

When I'm sitting in traffic the fan come on and stay on until i start moving at speed is this normal? I know these bikes ran hot but my fan stays on and the bars are at the top just worried about overheating. On highway no problems just when things slow down. Kind of frustrating and annoying.

Completely normal. Even more so when the bike has low miles on it. I've noticed our bikes are better with keeping their cool after the 30k mark. That i've gotten used to the heat lol!

Water wetter helps too. Especially when used with just water and no coolant.

OK my bike has 3000 miles on it i hope it gets better. What about engine ice any one using this? Why is this a issue i know its a big engine wrapped in plastic but still never had this problem before with any others bikes i owned?

It is due largely to the fact that it's a big engine wrapped in plastic. Try engine ice or water wetter . It will be better. But the maximium effect will happen when you use it with just water and no coolant.

i noticed a big difference in my bike when i went with an aftermarket exhaust as well.

And there is a Huge difference in mine and my buddy's bike. He has his exhaust ceramic coated. His temps are wayyyy down below mine.

If you use water wetter, combine it with distilled water (not tap) for best results. My fan kicks on when it's hot, but that's normal. It never really got too hot. Zx10 fender helps, but the best thing is to lose the stock exhaust.

Glad you mentioned that. My Alien Head is ceramic coated and I have noticed that, even in heavy traffic, my gauge never reaches the top. Too bad I don't have any comparison to the stock exhaust and headers, since I removed them within 100 miles.

The heat threads are passing the oil threads. ZX10 fender have had the best results here.

After I went Turbo the bike never got hot I recommend you all do the same. The bike stays at 1-2 bars all the time.
