sidewinder or alien head
been debating on switching over to a sidewinder, but I don't see the benefit to it. would like to hear some opinions on it. Bike has OSR oil pan on it currently. how would i benefit from a sidewinder

Personally, I don't think it is a huge benefit. You do get a lot more clearance with a flat oil pan, but you also have to do a lot of work to maximize the potential. The one added benefit of the flat$$ pan is that you get two more quarts of oil capacity (which is why I am keeping mine).
I don't think LeonidasZX14 got much, if anything, from a coby pan and tiwinder.
For a bike that see's the street, I would not even consider it.

My bike trapped lower with the Brocks sidewinder then the alien head on my stock motor. Smokin says his bike mphed a touch higher with the sidewinder but saw no gains in et. As I see it, the only benefit to a sidewinder is getting the bike lower. As Shane said, if this bike ever sees the street, I wouldn't even consider it.

Sidewinder is sold now so I guess I'll be sticking with the alien head

I gained nothing with the TiWinder and my back even ran slower than it did with the SMEG.
