New ZX10R wheels

Anybody read the specs on the 11 ZX10R wheels?

• New gravity-cast alloy wheels feature a three-spoke design that’s lighter than previous hoops by 330 grams (0.73 pound) up front and nearly 500 grams (1.1 pounds) in back
• Lighter wheels reduce unsprung weight, which allows the suspension system to work more efficiently

These may be the mod if feasble.

Not bad but A set of Carros would do it for me a lot better. Cost a few more $$$ i suppose.

But the aftermarkets save more than 2lbs for that extra cash too......what I'm trying to get my head around is "gravity casting".
Is that a new way to pour wheels or something?

Do the aftermarkets save more than two pounds than stock 14 wheels or more than 10 wheels? The 10 wheels might be available as sooner than later the way some people ride.

Definitely, sadly, the majority of people that buy these new liter bikes are kids that have no idea of the power one of these bikes make. They will be on ebay before too long. Not to mention the bling-bling crowd that will be changing these out for something shinier.

I'm sure that guys will have slightly used 10R wheels up for grabs soon since there is quite a percentage of owners that will likely replace theirs with chromed or anodized aftermarkets.
They'll probably be plentiful by mid-season for those looking to cut some more weight........I'm just wondering how different they are vs. the older models that can be fitted on 14's - hopefully Kaw didn't change the hubs design too much

Which year ZX10 wheels work on our 14's? What exactly is the weight difference for front and back? Is it worth doing this?

Sorry....new topic for me entirely.
