What do you guys think? Being a press fit connection I'm assuming epoxy wont hold for long - hope my pic link works

Have to figure out the pic later if it's not working, my pc at work only gives me limited access to photobucket - so I can't see if it came through or not.........

Anyway, I got a bit overzealous the other night working on getting my bike tore down, it's been sitting in the cold garage for months now and when I was taking right side grill off the plastic was cold enough ( or I pulled hard enough ) to break the tab off.

It's a fairly clean break, and looks as though I could epoxy it back together nice and tight - just unsure about the staying power over time when I reassemble and try to take it apart again later........input?

Epoxy won't hold it. The grills are cheap enough I wouldn't bother wasting my time.

i think the piece that broke off is the part on the side fairing where the foreman grille pops into it. Doesn't look like a grill tab. I could be wrong though...

Sorry, wasn't thinking straight at work when I said the grommet/tab was for the side grill, it's the lower right side tab at the back of the side fairing for the airbox cover to pop into - so I'll have to repair or replace it to get the cover to mount right, and tight.

That may ultimately be what happens, but for now I'll give the epoxy a try........can't really do anymore damage right?

without any fiberglass in it? Just the resin? Are these panels still made from ABS resin based plastic as they were in the 90's? That may be the best adhesive to try then.........thanx man, I'll look into that too........it's possible that I won't even need to repair it if the airbox cowl fits decently just using the small tab that slips into the top of the side fairing -- I just don't want anything coming loose at over 150mph or otherwise

you could always add a bit of chopped glass on the back side to reinforce it. or mat, just make sure you sand the parts you put resin on to give a tooth then de grease it with some nail polish remover before resin
