Going Green Again.
Wassup ya'll. I know it's been a while but I recieved the news yesterday that I will be the pilot of 3 Kaws this year. One zx10, and 2 zx14s. The one I am very excited about is the 3x5 nitrous bike. 1530 with a 70 shot of gas at 68 inches should be one heck of a ride. I'm prayin it stays together but we will see. I'm really excited to be back on a Kaw however, I will still be running a zuk as well. Looks like some great comparisons can be done now! Stay tuned for updates!

PS: We will be experimenting with the MSD SB6 with timing and other things. If anybody has any input, it will be greatly appreciated! Hoping to run deep in the 7s (quarter mile) full dressed, MTC multi stage gen II clutch.

Do you think a 1530 with a 70 shot will get you deep in the 7's? What kind of HP does a 3x5 make typically?

With the correct set-up it should. Problem is, I have never sprayed a motor on a 14 that big. I am nervous of the motor letting go. I ran a 2 mil last year towards the end of the season and with 2 hrs of tuning on the Gen II clutch, there were pretty bad wheelies but still managed to go Low 8 second passes at 67.5 inches of wheelbase. The Auto shifter was a little early in my opinion as well. I wanted to manually shift the bike but we ran out of time. We wanted to make one more event with the bike but unfortunately, the gas came in and broke the rear end loose and spun a bearing on number 3. Well back to the drawing board. So basically, I am seeing realistic 7.70s out of that set up but I am sure with good air, and a really good track, I may turn a few 40s on it. We will see if it holds up! I think we are pulling about 3 degrees of timing to start off with.

There is no doubt that the bike will be fast. I think Adams 14 is only a 2x4 with obviously a ton more spray. I would make sure it had a diaper on it before I rode that thing. Good Luck

A 3x5 should be a 1570 motor, I think. Are you sure it's not a 2x5? A 2x5 should hold a 70 shot with no problem if it is put together right.

You are correct. It is a 1570 and I just realized I put that. But I have my doubts. I'm just hoping for the best. That's pushing it!

Yes it will run 7's but deep is another story, to me deep is 7.40 or better. Not hatin but I'm anxious to see how deep it will go or how reliable it will be. The Adams bike was and is fast but reliability is another topic. On that 7.19 pass the motor went at 1000' which seems to be the norm on that bike.

I didn't know that bike went at the 1000. Keep in mind, the adams bike is Pro street set up. This will be a real street set up. So a lot more weight! And Jeremy is 10lbs lighter than me. Might not sound like much but it makes a difference.

No, like I said dude not hating but I am in the process of a pretty serious build and plan to run mid 7's too. I will be trying to run a Pro Street setup this season!!!!!! Good Luck man!!!

It's not my bike so I got to run what he wants. I will get the best times out of what he has though. I wish Lee was closer so 2 of the best could get a shot of this machine!

I wasn't talking about Literally set up like a real street bike. I mean Full dressed, headlight, Brakes, close to 3 inches of ground clearance, stock tank, stock wheels etc! Not talkingabout the wheelbase or the clutch and just clarify, I would have to be 60 to 61 inches for real street.
